Joke thread

We had neighbour whose cat was called Ginger. Now it was called Ginger because the neighbours young kid , had met a cat for the 1st time, and it was a ginger cat, called Ginger, and they assumed every cat should be/was called Ginger. So when they got a cat themselves, the kid called it Ginger… despite it being a black and white.

This led to the classic comment in our household one day whilst entertaining ‘oh there’s a black and white cat in the garden and it’s not Ginger’…

Paul Young once said that many of his songwriting ideas came from his early work experience in the butcher's section at his local supermarket.
Apparently, a colleague getting sacked for repeated shoplifting inspired the lyrics, 'Every time you go away, you take a piece of meat with you.'

Wherever I lay my ham; that's my home.

Don't worry, I've already got my coat on.

I thought this was the traditional opening ceremony to Wassailing which takes place on the 12th Night in Suffolk?

I've been wassailing a couple of times in West Sussex, where the Repair Shop is filmed, and can confirm they are not that weird. Just normal people with long beards and pointy hats who sing songs about apples. In fields. With a drum.
