Too much maligned. Was at fault on their goal, but not as much as Pants, but made clearance after clearance. I thought he was one of our better performers today; especially as he had to shift away from his natural side.
People moan about him on the ball, and he is not gifted in the way that we should aim for to play or game, but his pass completion was over 90% today.

Watch it again mate and you will see lescott giving the most half arsed attempt at stopping the header you will ever see form a CB.

Only because he let the striker get in the free header that Pants dropped. There was no pressure from Joleon on the challenge hence why the header was made with so much power. As the most experienced defender on show it is his job to command the space but on this occasion he hardly left the ground for the challenge on the man he was picking up. That is why.

Someone posted when he is in position it looks like he is tip toing over a field covered in dog shite!
Not only for the Blackburn goal but on many occasions didn't win enough in the air for a man of his size and experience. I'm not saying he was the only one as Nastasic didn't cover himself in glory but felt he let a team from the league below us get the better of him. On a bobbly pitch like today he really does make the heart miss a beat when he has to make a pass or control it.
Great player for us in title winning season and will never forget that but his time is up. Not sure what will happen now but can be sure he won't be here next season, especially with Rekik earning rave reviews.

Just don't agree.Watched the goal again and I wouldn't attach much if any blame to him.It's what can happen with zonal marking.Negredo was the man given a specific marking role but switched off when the ball didn't go to Dann.Add a shocking mistake from Pants and ....oh yes it was all Lescott's fault.
I would have him as by a street our best defender today as Nastasic was really awful but because he is young he is allowed so much leeway. He will just have to live with being disliked I guess because he " doesn't look comfortable on the ball"
