- We went to Rotherham…
No way is that piece of shit better than Mangala.
Good post, so many negatives to this signing.Nowhere in my post do I mention the scum, it was about how bad our management team is at buying cb's but if you believe he is worth the price be it 25m or 30m then good luck to you, he is an average joe and yes to some folk the fact he is a top rag fan with a wife that works for rag tv is a huge negative, throw in the fact he is 29 going on 30, all in all it is too many negatives for me (not for everybody but for ME because I am allowed to think wtf I want)
Say what you want but people are entitled to their opinion without being told to wipe their fannies, a most irritating attempt at a put down and quite possible even out doing the Pep knows best line, both used far too often on here atm.

The difference being we had Pellegrini involved back then who sanctioned Bony etc & now we have Pep with a different perspective & needs from his defence.Well I assume we did our homework on the other CBs we've signed in recent years but given that it still appears to be a problem position if Vinny is missing it seems reasonable enough to be sceptical of the quality of the homework.
The voice if reason - as usual.its not who he played for. he simply isn't good enough.
Please. It's hard to think of a player in the EPL worse than Mangala, never mind West Brom's best player & captain. No way is that piece of shit better than Mangala.
And how much do you think we will get for him next season ;)

My point is that if we accept that Pellegrini's last transfer window was basically Pep's first, going back to the transfer window of 2012/13 our purchases haven't been up to scratch apart from Fernandinho. Taking Pellegrini & FFP into account, do you think we'd have bought the like of Bony, Delph & been in for Evans now?Not sure of your point with the bolded bit tbh, I maybe being a bit thick but if you meant we bought the later two because we needed to buy somebody then that was pretty much a waste of time as we hardly had a constructive game out of the pair of them.
The near 40m could have been better spent elsewhere, Bony was never going to suit our club, Delph may have had possibilities but his inability to stay fit, just like Rodwell meant he has been a flop in the end.
May I suggest this:One Mangala
There's only one Mangala
One Mangala......ar

( Alright it doesn't quite fit, but you get my drift).
Revisited.

I was as shocked as everyone else when this was first mooted & thought it was just media high jinx. When I realised there was a real interest, I held off from commenting until I looked into Evans more, because to be honest I knew/know fuck all about him apart from he's an ex rag who now plays for WBA, but after researching him a bit & listening to WBA fans and what they've said and what experts have also said, my research led me to believe that as a back up defender, if we got him relatively cheap, it could be good business.
I've heard a lot of upset people going on about Txiki & Pep not knowing a good CB from a shit one, but as yet, few if any have offered alternatives in that price bracket. For £20m - £30m, can you think of any other suitable alternatives with his PL experience who we should have gone for?
Some of them seem Alien to me.Fernando, Delph, Nolito, Bony, Roswell, Sinclair
I can name players too.
His attitude might put some people off. Attitude is why we're jettisoning Nasri apparently. Also with Sakho being available, where's the stampede for his signature?Sakho.

We need CB cover, but we're obviously keeping our transfer gun powder dry for an expected bid for Sanchez. However, our need and desire for Sanchez doesn't distract from the fact we need another CB with PL experience & another LB to cover Mendy, so my point about FFP is that if it didn't matter to us right now, could you see us going in for Evans regardless, or do you agree our pursuit of him is because we need CB cover, but we have one eye on FFP?

Yeah because they know it all

Pulis is a closet blue.Pulis says that he 'hopes and prays' Evans will stay.
