Plain Speaking said:Unfortunately I think if Jose has a choice between us and Chelsea, he would go for his old club, for several reasons: He has already said he still loves them and doesnt like to play against them. He has spoken warmly about returning to London and he still has a house there. He is a family man and the culture, shopping, entertainment etc of London are better than Manchester. He is a born winner and they have a better record of success with and without him.
Having said all this I still think he has tried to line up the United job as Fergie's successor and Fergie will have the biggest say in who succeeds him.
There's one big problem about him going back to Chelsea. He would expect a cringing apology from Abramovich and a promise not to interfere in team affairs and that is from the man's own mouth not my supposition. Whether it was sarcastic/rhetorical or not I don't know.Plain Speaking said:Unfortunately I think if Jose has a choice between us and Chelsea, he would go for his old club, for several reasons: He has already said he still loves them and doesnt like to play against them. It is, but loving and losing to your arch nemesis and watch them live a wonderful life for ever more whilst rubbing your nose in it every day!?
Though the point I was making was more to do with the thought of winning a title with City and Trafford supposedly adding spice to Jose's thoughts - I doubt that thought has crossed his mind

I'd agree with all of that ......
the only trouble for him being Fergies unequalled record at Old Trafford ...... if Mourinho couldn't keep that going , rag fans would quickly get disgruntled , and questions would be asked about his ability , or whether he was the right choice ....... he wouldn't have any other option , if he went there , than to 'instantly' keep it going ...... and he needs to realise that first and foremost!

So you don't go out with a beautiful girl because you're worried one day she might dump you for your flashier neighbour?
Naw. You have confidence in your own ability to be more charming, endearing (and not to mention rich) than that arrogant wanker.
JM would only return to chelski if abramovic had a complete personality transplant and promised never to interfere in team-matters ever again whilst eating humble pie.Abramovic doesn't do humble.Hiddink did very well in tempory charge there and is a close friend of red-rom.He just didn't want the job permanently at the time.He might do now though.Plain Speaking said:Unfortunately I think if Jose has a choice between us and Chelsea, he would go for his old club, for several reasons: He has already said he still loves them and doesnt like to play against them.
