Does anyone see Hughes as an inspirational manager?
Does anyone see Benitez as one? Was Tony Book inspirational?

A manager has to get the best out of the players and make the whole greater than the sum of the parts. Everyone does that in their own way. They don't necessarily have to be Martin Luther King.
Totally agree and Hughes has an answer Stephen Ireland he has come on leaps and bounds under Hughes

According to posters on here who 'know' Stevie his improvement is entirely down to his own hard work.

ADUG approached Arsene Wenger who wasnt interested
Mourinho has been quoted saying he feels he has put in the work at smaller clubs (FC Porto and Chelsea) and would now only consider jobs at europes elite

id have Sven Goran Eriksson with Roberto Mancini as his assistant, moving us forward, with Sven moving upstairs after a few years.

Fantastic idea! Whilst we're at it we could sign this amazing player from Celtic - think his name is Samaras, he's scored loads of goals for them this season. I've also heard there are these two amazing italian players called Corradi and Bianchi who we should DEFINITELY sign.

However strange the first suggestion was, your sarcastic reply makes no sense at all in the context.

Who said I was being sarcastic? Samaras has 14 goals so far this season which makes him better than Ireland and almost as good as Robinho... Bianchi has 7 goals in 24 games this season whereas shaun wright-phillips has a paltry 5 league goals from 27 games.

Any improvement in form is down to the player being motivated by his surroundings it also helps if he feels the manager believes in him Hughes stopped Stevie being sold. He plays him in a role that brings out the best in him

OK, I'll go with that theory. So, who is to blame for Dunnie & Micah not being as good as last season?

Richards I think... with Ned next to him Dunne has looked a far better player.

Surely if Stevie's improvement is, in a large part, down to Hughes, then Micah & Dunnie being worse is also, in some way, down to Hughes?
