The only logical destination for Mourinho is Man City
Mourinho is a coach who requires
1. An already established competitive team
2. A top league
3. A sizeable budget
4. Total control of his players and transfers
When thinking of the above and the coming season, what options does he really have?
EPL
1. Chelsea - No way Roman will swallow his pride and ask him back.
2. Liverpool - Benitez just extended his contract.
3. Arsenal - Wenger is Arsenal, Arsenal is Wenger.
4. Man Utd - No change there until Fergie is retired.
5. Aston Villa, Everton and Spurs all committed to their respective managers
Therefore Man City is his ONLY option in England at the moment
Spain
1. Real Madrid - Jose has not been mentioned all season as a replacement there.
2. Barcelona - Pep has just created the best team in the world at present.
3. Valencia - Too many money problems
4. Villareal - Just extended the contract for their coach
5. Sevilla - No funds.
As much as he would like to go to Spain, there is no team (other than Real Madrid) who can take him.
Germany
1. Wolfsburg - They want Rikjaard and have already met with him
2. Bayern - They want Jol
3. The rest won't attract Jose.
So where really can Jose go?
He won't stay at Inter because he doesn't like it there. He does want to go to Spain, but where?
Only Real Madrid is open but its strange that Jose's name hasn't come up at all despite their stated "new manager" at the end of the season, so the way I see it...
Its Man City 1st in line.
