Jude Bellingham

I'm probably not completely correct but I suspect he is in the leadership group because the media, and possibly the FA, have decided he's the "It" player. Much as Lauren James has been made that for the women's team.

They can do no wrong, somehow if they do, excuses are made and all is swiftly forgiven and forgotten. Selfish play is glossed over and turned into "Look how he/she tried to make something out of nothing," and etc.
That sums up what is wrong with the fa continually putting their man into the job ,too easily swayed by what they want , waistcoat was weak as piss

He will burn out by the end of the 25/26 season. Not by playing but by the media. Not sure how true The Athletic is but their piece says many of the England squad are not happy with how much he gives the media in terms of exposure for himself. I know that’s all managed.

It has Dele Ali mark 2 written all over it.

Probably been mentioned before the euros and that's why those two have been sucking each other off for the past month.

It’d reminiscent of the Galactico era when R9, Zidane & Figo were placed behind Beckham. I had some real humdingers with the marketing director at the last business I worked in. Her motto was “marketing is everything!” My response was marketing is to pull the wool over the unsuspecting but when you fall for marketing yourself then you’ve caused yourself a problem.

Bellingham isn’t the player they think he is, doesn’t display leadership values to make him that weakens the squad.

I assume this is the incident with Schulz that is mentioned in the thread about him at Dortmund.

It's not even particularly a bad pass, he just can't control it.

I think he's 18 here. The attitude needed squashing a long time ago.

I understand frustration, and communicating to people when you want them to do something better - but a flat-out "you're shit" in the middle of a match is disrespectful and uncalled for.

That pass would have been no problem for Phil. Therin lies the conundrum.
