Assuming Bernardo stays (and I really hope he does), he is our Modric player and more. Like Modric he can play every midfield role including 2nd pivot but unlike Modric he can play anywhere across the front 3 too. He is an absolute diamond - and a nice bloke too! So I agree with DeBlueLou.

Is it just me or does it feel like we're stockpiling English talent? Reckon there could be some changes to the homegrown rule in the future? It just seems odd that we're spending so much on English players when there could be cheaper foreign players
