I think he’d be a good signing. We need a bit of toughness in midfield, and we definitely need cover for Rodri. There’s no point signing someone for £80m-£100m to sit on the bench most games when Rodri starts. I think Phillips would be more likely to accept rotation.

He is a full England international, he is the heartbeat of the Leeds team, for me there is no chance of him coming here to sit on the bench, he is better than that but at the same time there is no way he is going to take Rodri's place in a straight fight.

Won’t need to as we play that many games they can both rotate . It will only strengthen more this signing as it adds much needed bite in midfield and add a good value to him and it’s a simple transfer which should be done easy .

Those using slow as a negative, Godri isn’t exactly fast is he? It’s all about positioning and being able to read the play.
Throughout history the best defensive midfielders have never relied on their pace, all about reading the game. Phillips would be a very smart signing, no pressure on him wanting to start every game either.

He needs to be playing a majority of the games, especially in a World Cup Year

Do you not think playing for a high profile club in Premier League will help him For tHe world cup

I agree he has to play games but surely these have to be at high standard
Not if he spends a majority of his time on the bench, so no I don't.

If he were to become a regular in this side it would boost his career enormously, but it's a huge IF for me, Rodri is world Class, not sure Phillips is.

I agree he doesn’t compare to Rodri

I do think Pep would improve him and he would get games
