I hope so but from what I’ve seen I’m not convinced his control and awareness is ever going to be good enough for us in that position

I’ve seen zero from kalvin to think he’s in any way a city type player.
Whether it’s nerves or fear of failing he seems to always slow the play down too much and do those easy 5 yard passes and not carry the ball forward and create.

Nowhere near enough involvement in midfield and just does the bare minimum.

Of course he could kick on this season after a year under pep but I just don’t see it.

Nice guy and all that but he’s at the wrong club and he should be moved on.

Is still think he'll be here until at least January. I am not so sure on whether we will see Phillips' overall qualities which made us sign him from Leeds in the first place.

In his first season (2017/18) Bernardo played more matches than any other outfield player (53). He was utterly brilliant and helped us become the first team to reach 100 points.

The problem he has is that we are so very very good and we sometimes forget how very very good our players are and then it all becomes apparent again when a lower quality player comes on. I don’t dislike KP and wish him well but as I have said before he looks like a stock car caught up in a formula 1 race.

He's been here a year already so we'd only need £35m ish to balance the books and we'd most certainly get that. It's really not much of an issue in my opinion. Just one of those occasions when a transfer doesn't work out - but they have been few and far between in the last decade.

A little rotation for our most important player in a treble winning season. Not every transfer works out, but if we sold him again this summer I wouldn’t be surprised if we recouped all of our money. Could see West Ham spending 43m on him

What we got in terms of sporting performance subjective. I’m making the point in accounting terms we would need to recoup £35m ish to balance the books on him.

I think when rhodri arrived even though we had an aging fern still playing he gave him game time much to the disapproval of posters on here who thought he was crap turning circle of a oceanliner etc but pep rated him .I'm not sure from what pep has seen of kalvin that even he rates him .I can see josko playing back-up to rhodri in some of the games .I would sooner see kalvins place in the squad go to a academy player

I would be more ruthless with him, and tell him he is not going to play. We were willing to listen to offers for him, but clearly content enough with keeping him as well. He needs to step up, big time.
