The overton window has certainly shifted to the right, but traditionally the left wing (in the UK at least) have been economic liberals but socially conservative. I think what passes for left now is almost the other way round and in many ways basically Boris Johnson without the wealthy background but with the addition of a conscience via identity politics.
The left is probably a bit lost.

You act like these people did nothing wrong and are being held to some standard others are not held to?! If anything, the DOJ has bent over backwards to have airtight cases before even bringing anything.
No-one living in the real world can complain that Biden or the DOJ (not “his” DOJ, because he’s not that guy!) have executed some campaign of retribution against political rivals. Rather, there was a concerted effort by these people to overturn the Constitutional BASICS of life in America…and they got caught red-handed doing it, both in word and deed!
Oh yeah, Trump pardoned as many as he could during his term in office, usually for a hefty price, literally!

I think as far back as Jan 6 biden was pretty dignified about the whole thing - got on with the job and left the witch hunt to those more obsessed. I'm assuming if trump doesn't win this time (and therefore not immune/ able to pardon himself) he may be in some legal trouble?
