Keir Starmer

It's a long way back and chances are the next leader won't be the next Labour p.m. So needs to be someone that can see the bigger picture and plan long term. No idea who that is as I've lost touch with Labour, though from the outside Starmer seems a safe pair of hands to at least point them in the right direction.

Starmer couldn’t have a more remain, London image if he tried. Not a chance he will get support from the country.

The problem is finding someone who isn't an old union trot throwback, a superficial ex lawyer, or some careerist that's never done a proper job and could just as easily been a lib dem or tory. Not many that don't tick one of these boxes.

For a party that says it is anti racist and wants equality for all it's about time it tries having a female in charge. A lot of the men come across as absolute gimps

Doesn’t matter for Labour Brexit is over Liberals too it’s all down to Johnson. Labour only need to concern themselves with repositioning themselves towards the centre, as somebody that was part of the last front bench he hasn’t alienated anyone and he probably can start them in the right direction. As I say don’t know the Labour party that well and open to suggestions but don’t think anyones Brexit stance matters in the slightest now.

If Labour want to win they will elect Barnsley Central MP Dan Jarvis as leader.
Former Major in the Parachute Regiment he certainly won't scare the horses.
Still Mayor of Sheffield City Region so maybe he will have to wait till next time.
They will of course elect a professional socialist/marxist politician and lose the next election as a result, but eventually they will get round to him.

If labour had done what McKlusky wanted, labour would have campaign for a brexit deal and no referendum.

4 elections 4 defeats, new labour, this labour it doesn't matter, a clear misunderstanding of the heartlands and tgeir issues the last 3 decades has led to a disconect even a manifesto aimed at reversing the decline couldn't reach them.
The last 3 decades are not the problem. The last decade is the problem. In the decade before that, Labour won 3 landslide victories.

Corbynistas need to figure out what they want out of politics.

If they want investment in the NHS, investment in education, social services and tackling the homeless problem, they can have all that. They just need to elect a left of centre leader.

If what they want out of politics is to penalise big business. Squash ambition. Make the rich eat a “shit sandwich”, then they can’t have that. Turkey’s won’t vote for xmas.

Actually tory think tanks said they fear a strong vocal northern leader as they have been able to use the london centric nature of the present leadership as an example why traditional labour should reject them.

As long as it isn't that baked potato headed Richard Burgon, the cunts useless.
She's not leadership material - inarticulate and too confrontational - an ok shadow minister but not shadow leader.
Lucy Powell has grown on me and shame Flint lost her seat.
