The insinuation there that it’s decent human beings that like socialism and those that don’t aren’t, doesn’t help at all. There’s many of us who are economically moderate, many that are left of centre, are for nationalising some industries and closing the gap between rich and poor but have been put off by the purist momentum driven obnoxious behaviour, that Corbyn’s base has driven.
Socialism isn’t definitely dead but it needs someone at Blair’s level of communication skills to sell it, not that he was socialist I’m just talking about his sales ability.
To be honest I don’t think the British public wants it. They want centrist economic policies, but not globalisation as Blairism was, and conservative social policies.
The only party offering this is the SDP but they don’t have the power to make an impact in this FPTP.
