Keir Starmer

People of your ilk have been thinking like that for 50 years. Unless Labour and their band of immature momentum followers take a dose of reality the majority of the electorate will continually suffer because of it. You lot keep putting in power the very people you despise.

The problem is people like you who have it in their heads that this election somehow about a test of socialism and that this proves its dead which is bullshit. The election was first and foremost about Brexit anyone who can't see that needs to give their head a wobble. Secondly it like all elections was about the people that we were electing and Johnson won hands down. Pretty much everything else pales in to insignificance. the tories had virtually no policies and Johnson avoided scrutiny at every opportunity and when he did he beat the same drum get Brexit done!!

Now I don't know what you and the rest of these anti socialist don't see maybe its your desperation to say socialism is dead we told you so. But it isn't and as long as there are decent honest human beings around it would always be around in some form or another. A strong leader who is liked by the public and a simple clear message and you won't be beating the same drum come post the next GE.

Corbyn embodies everything you strive for, he propounds the socialist mantra constantly, what was his problem
then, why was he roundly rejected? You are, of course, correct in your assessment that Brexit dominated, yet there
are millions of remainers, many, if not most, staunchly so, and if many of these people want socialism, the result
would probably have seen Johnson win, but by no landslide. Why didn't all these kids join forces with the hordes of
socialists desperate for this style of government?
The answer is all around you, most folk are in work, unions are irrelevant now, worker/management participation
is commonplace, nobody has this 'Bosses against the workers' mindset any more, there are now no strikes, no pickets,
flying or otherwise. It's no good constantly preaching radical change is needed when facing these facts, it's no good
calling for everything to be swept away along a tide of social justice, the country is in pretty good shape, not perfect,
nowhere is, but doing OK by any yardstick. The philosophy of socialism is now becoming some quaint anachronism in most
prosperous western nations, 'Populism' used as a derogatory term by the losing left, is actually the will of the people, who
were not, and are not, being brainwashed by Russia, hoodwinked by anyone, or simply not in possession of the truth,
they know what is needed, and it ain't socialism.

The insinuation there that it’s decent human beings that like socialism and those that don’t aren’t, doesn’t help at all. There’s many of us who are economically moderate, many that are left of centre, are for nationalising some industries and closing the gap between rich and poor but have been put off by the purist momentum driven obnoxious behaviour, that Corbyn’s base has driven.

Socialism isn’t definitely dead but it needs someone at Blair’s level of communication skills to sell it, not that he was socialist I’m just talking about his sales ability.

To be honest I don’t think the British public wants it. They want centrist economic policies, but not globalisation as Blairism was, and conservative social policies.

The only party offering this is the SDP but they don’t have the power to make an impact in this FPTP.

This is exactly how it has been presented by Corbynistas, unless you're a socialist you're a heartless grasping bastard,
which must mean that the residents of some of the most deprived towns in the country, fit that description.
It's going to be a long hard, and ultimately futile path for Labour, unless they can find another Blair, which is
a remote prospect it seems.

Starmer is very obviously the choice of the PLP but I still think RLB and Rayner will be anointed by those pulling the strings.

Why hasn't Di declared she's running yet?

Err your band of merry men

Put Corbyn in charge
Decided on a brexit stance
Unbelievably thought the way to win an election was to offer more stuff which to anyone but an utter moron could only result in losing votes.

By the way labelling people as socialist or anti socialist doesn't help your cause and shows a lack of logical thinking. Another reason why you keep losing.

50 years fella but next time........
