Keir Starmer

If its a party of Blairite wannabees the answer is no I don't want them to win, I don't vote for neo liberals whatever the colour of the rosette

But without being in power they can't enact those policies that you believe are so needed to change the country and if the last 30 years or so has proved anything they've proved that there's no appetite in this country for a Socialist government.

Jack fucking Straw is on newsnight, he appears happy Labour lost, the ****.

It was that warmongering fucker and his mates that started the decline of the labour vote and now he is on moaning about those who picked up the pieces from their disastrous war in Iraq.

They need to discover a leader and an identity somewhere in between momentum and the blairite plastics.

When BREXIT is done and dusted we will see. Socialism is the logical conclusion of brexit. It breaks with the EU neo-liberal consensus.

The dismantling of the Labour red wall tells a different story. The Labour Party is more than middle class liberals.
How do you explain that the swing from Labour to Lib Dems (6.06%) was greater than the swing from Labour to Tory (4.7%).

The data is very clear. This catastrophic loss was a clear rejection of Corbyn, not Remain.

So, around another 5-10 years then? Tell that those looking for housing or school places - they’ve let those in need down. And waiting for a revaluation isn’t a plan, I’m afraid

I believe a lot of people fell for the Liberal Democrat tactics of pushing tactical voting.

I reported my local Lib Dems to the electoral commission for totally misleading election leaflets pushing the tactical voting message. Chuffed to fuck that Swinson got beat, i despise the yellow tories almost as much as the real tories.

Venezuela....the propaganda worked very well didn't it. You have just proved it.

We have just elected the most right wing PM in our nations history, but you are banging on about Venezuela and Marxism. Democratic Socialism is not Marxism, public ownership of utilities is not Marxist, Marxism is control of all the means of production by the workers.

And why on earth anybody would be against the introduction of a 4 day week is just beyond me. Do people really actually want to work themselves to death and not take advantage of the upcoming technological advances that will make a lot of work currently not needed. Free Broadband is about equality of opportunity, if everyone has the same opportunity to progress then the whole country benefits, it is an effective investment. Our corporation taxes are amongst the lowest on the planet and will get lower as we hand gompanies even larger tax breaks and they use them to line the pockets of their shareholders. We need a national investment bank, its Keynesian in approach using the economic multiplier effect to create growth. Its basic common economic sense to do ot rather than rely on foreign investment to take up the slack.
What evidence do you have to suggest Venezuela is a MSM conspiracy and not a genuine economic catastrophe? Because I reckon the IMF, World Bank and UN would probably be interested to see it.

You can’t with a straight face and good conscience say that part re-nationalising BT is a centre left policy.

Free broadband for all, no one is asking for it! It would cost billions. It’s a completely unneeded and a complete waste of public funds which would be far better spent elsewhere.

I live in a safe Labour seat, have voted Labour all my life and I voted Lib Dem because I disagree with Corbyn’s far left ideology.

I know at least 6 people who did exactly the same. All voted Remain and are Labour supporters.

If we’re ever going to stop the Tories again you need to get off Twitter and take your head out of the sand, mate.

I have no evidence on Venezula either way, but its circumstances are not relevant to the UK, using it as an example is just right wing scaremongering.

Of course i can say renationalisation is a good thing, public utilities should be owned by the public and not people with Cayman Isles bank accounts
