Keir Starmer

Of course i can say renationalisation is a good thing, public utilities should be owned by the public and not people with Cayman Isles bank accounts

You mean like pension funds that provide many retired people with a bit of extra cash that they need to enjoy their retirement?

And Corbyn pretending there were no seats on his train?

That's a good reason not to vote for someone. Was there seats, I don't know, its a little different to Johnson who lies every time he opens his mouth and has a long and chequered history of lying through his back teeth on virtually everything.

Not saying it's a reason not to vote for someone - just highlighting they all do it.
I take it by your own logic Corbyn is also a lying C#nt? Just for the sake of fairness.

Stay with the Lib Dems, they deserve you

Mate, it doesn’t look like you’re seeing the big picture here. Me, you and @Shaelumstash are all on the same side. This is like blue on blue nonsense. The likes of that motors guy, they’re the real enemy here. The vitriol and grief that fellow left and centre-left give to each other is painful. When I was in Ireland plenty told me you’re either united or ABU, and I actually think politics isn’t dissimilar.

If everyone did that, there would be no one left to vote for Labour......hence they need to appeal to a broadchurch - make the changes they can rathe than shouting from the side lines for a revaluation

Another one who shoots the messenger if it doesn't like the message or it doesn't slavishly toe the party line.

To be fair rhe gaurduan has always been a liberal party supporting papaer and only backed labout around the mid-late 80s.

It reverted back and started backing the lib dems in 2010 and hasn't pledged supprt for labour in the last 3 elections.

Does is have more left wing articles ? Yes and columosts, but it has championed the likes of watson and owen smith, than been supportive of labours move to a soft left position.

I still read it though, but it is very liberal rather than left.

Seems like the labour party is in the same situation as the democrats over here, no one to lead

That doesn’t make any logical sense, mate. The Tories have done absolutely fuck all for the industrial north and they’ve been in power for 10 years yet just won a landslide.

They promised to get brexit done, something that cut home deeper than, Hi I'm jezza and we are nuetral.
Places that have been spoon fed it isn't the governments fault but the poles and bulgarians, it isn't the governments fault but labour in 2008, it isn't the governments fault but at least we will protect you from terrorists not be friends with one, it isn't the governments fault and some other bollocks

I would resign my membership in disgust if he got elected. It was the likes of him who forced the contrarian position on the EU,when we should always have been the party of Leave. Benn and his ilk put siding with the capitalists before siding with our people.

He is as much to blame for Johnson as anyone.
Fair enough.

I want us to leave and i am a Socialist, i want a Socialist UK, or whats left of it after that **** Johnsons finished with it.
I know you do. But unfortunately there’s only you, Len, Jezza, McConnell, a load of students and some coke and woke luvvies in North London who feel the same.

The dismantling of the Labour red wall tells a different story. The Labour Party is more than middle class liberals.
The actual results of the referendum tells a difference story.

65% of Labour voters voted for Remain.

61% of Tories voted Leave.

I know that must be uncomfortable reading, but it doesn’t mean it’s not true.

https://yougov.co.uk/topics/politics/articles-reports/2016/06/27/how-britain-voted

Or do you think 65% of Labour voters are “middle class liberals”?

Resigning your membership may be a good idea, you have demonstrated on here you have extreme left wing views, to which you are entitled to btw.
If everyone who shares you views joined you the Labour Party would possible become more electable once again.

And the cities of newcastle, manchester, bristol, sheffield, leeds, sunderland, liverpool.

Labour dominates on the major cities, but has lost the faith of the other comunities, who let's be honest see less investment and improvement from both government and busuness.

I am supprised middlesborough stayed labour tbh as the place has been on decline for years.

Untill the country redistribute and re-invigerates former industrial heartlands decimated by a move to a financial services economic model they have no reason to stay loyal to a party built on the back of the industrial revolution

We have hardly any big manufacturing any more
We have no ship building
We have little in the shape steel industry
We have no coal iron, copper or tin mining industry even though we have large reserves.
We have no car building industry in any major form
We have no electrical manufactoring industry anymore.
We have lost many food production industries.

Other countries have a balance between financial and manufactoring and so communities haven't been left behind.

I don't blame people for rejecting labour because they feel brexit will somehow save their area and improve things or because they don't trust some olld fucker who is a london MP and seen as not relatable.
But if they believe what they have chosen is going to improve life for them, then they will be dissapointed.
