Love Palestine/Hate Israel became a real thing under Momentum and Corbyns leadership and even today, certain elements of the left just can’t let go or get over it sadly.

Starmer has done what needed to be done.

I understand why Starmer does, it's realpolitik.

He's used it to purge the Party, cast Corbyn into the outer darkness and relaunch New Labour Mark II disguised as a moral crusade. It's been a godsend, that's why he flogs it to death, it's cover for the wholesale gutting of Labour's radical purpose.

The best the masses have ever had it in this country was under New Labour.

Labour doesn’t need a radical purpose in 2023, or even since the 1980s. They just need to not be the Conservatives. Working class wages have sky rocketed since the 80s. Where, back in history, a builder, joiner, plasterer, plumber, upholsterer etc. would struggle to survive on a meagre wage, they now earn well above the average wage in this country… three/four times as much in some cases.

These people do not need a radical Labour Party. They need an ambitious thinking Labour Party who have a different outlook in a capitalist world to what it did in the 1800s. Gas fitters or mechanics earning £80k/year are still working class. But they are MDs of their own businesses and are a big part of capitalism.

I don’t know why people describe New Labour in a negative light. A New Labour govt would be brilliant compared to what we’ve had since 2010. And we need to get behind it otherwise we will be stuck with these Tories.

Could Labour be better, yes. But City could be better n’all, in every aspect, despite being the most successful team and football, even sports, business in the world in the last dozen years? Yes.

He did it partly by expelling jewish members though who didn't fit his vision or who were critical of the isreali government

the man has shown signs of anti-semetism himself.

His purge of members who don't fit has been ridiculous


But at least he is a patriot with his 2 flags and articles in the times and mail.

Have you considered the Liberal Democrats?

Excuse me if I don't celebrate a hostile corporate takeover of a progressive political party, in order that it be fashioned into a temporary holiday let for disaffected Tories. A cosy cottage full of familiar things for the occasional five year stay, nice enough for a while, until the bad memories of ones real home fade away and disaffection kicks in with the running costs and the state of the neighbours. Then nostalgia and instinct draw the disaffected back to their traditional Tory semi in the leafy suburbs, and normal service is resumed.

Keith Stalin is purging his party of anyone who is critical of him or his policies. This won't receive any big reporting because he's got Uncle Rupert on board. Other stories involving some of his front bench team business dealings are being suppressed, whilst supporting a wife beater LP official over the MP being beaten by them; "Because they are good communicator."

Woe betide you if you stand on a picket line with a union. Deselection meetings being called to replace them with more Starmites.

It will all come out when the right wing media decide they've took him as far as they can.

New Labour/Tory Lite. And without a shadow of doubt, the worst Labour government is by far better than a Tory one (even Kiers)
But gone have the days of representation for the working classes, and its a shame, still though, they will lap it up in pretence world.
Labour 2017/19 was the closest to a fairer society we would have ever had, "CoRbYn iS a TeRroist SymThanzizEr" or whatever drivel was used to justify this current crop has fucked an entire generation, and its hard not feel angry about that.

I agree, yet it is insane to not vote for them (or whichever way is necessary) to oust the Tories next time.
