Keir Starmer

The people dancing in the streets tonight are the those who drink champagne, holiday on yachts in Malibu and have money in Cayman island banks. They have nothing to fear, the left is defeated, the money making bandwagon can continue unabated and equity, equality is a lot further away than it has ever been.

At the next election we will have a choice between capitalism and capitalism, one will wear a blue rosette, one a red rosette, whoever wins will serve the interests of those of their yachts first and foremost. Yeah maybe the red rosette crowd will throw the working class a bone, us working class after all love bones, i had a chop once with some gristle on it.

What is also disturbing is that people who have similar beliefs to me are now all but excluded from the democratic process. Where do we go? I will never vote Tory, never vote Lib Dem, now Socialism is no longer wanted in the party I have been a member for nigh on 40 years I can not vote Labour. That hurts to say that.

As much as I hate the Tories, i hate Labour just as much. As apathy in politics is dangerous, I do hope for a new party of the left to rise out of the ashes of the Labour Party.

Solidarnosc comrades

I‘m fairly sure the dancing yacht people are not following the Labour candidate selection process for North Islington, or even caring if they did (they aren’t).

And there is a difference between Labour and Tories, just not a difference big enough for you. The problems we have today are not capitalism - Brexit isn’t capitalism and isn’t benefiting anyone right now - but cronyism, corruption and incompetence. The bizarre notion that funding vital services or improving peoples lives is not important, that funding infrastructure in places other than London is a bad idea and we can’t afford it. Preventing refugees from contributing to the economy during a labour shortage. The list of stupidity is endless and it is has to stop.

The very least Labour can do is halt the stupid. From my perspective, all this bemoaning over Corbyn simply distracts from the problems we face. You are all sounding like Mad Nads and that lunatic Rees-Mogg mourning the ousting of Johnson and how unfair it is.

Who is moaning about Corbyn?

He'll get shit for it from the further left, but it's pretty smart from Starmer. "The member for Islington North" is one of the few attack lines the Tories will believe resonates beyond Westminster, but by doing this now it won't be of any use to them in 18 months time. Corbyn might win as an independent (although I doubt it), but Starmer is gonna be willing to take that hit to show the rest of the country that him and Corbyn aren't aligned, and blunt that attack from the Tories.

Although my heart is very much with the last two posts I find myself flipflopping from Fuck Labour to having to hold my nose and vote for them.

Not because I want to, far from it, but because people who are worse off than me will do slightly better under them than the Tories.

Its juggling with the thought of being part of the problem no matter which way you turn.
Don't be daft just don't vote for them it's not difficult
