Funny tinge woman perhaps.
Today has been one of the most disgraceful days in Labour Party history.
It is not an attack on Corbyn per se, it is an attack on Socialism, it is a warning that Socialist thinking is no longer allowed. Policies such as nationalisation, state aid, supporting the less well off are now anathema. Starmer said himself that Corbyn made Labour the party against austerity, that is out of the window, under that fucking idiot Reeves, a former banker Labour will be no different to the Tories. It will be fiscal responsibility (sic) and all that fucking neo liberal bullshit that makes the establishment comfortable with a not so left wing Labour party.
The people dancing in the streets tonight are the those who drink champagne, holiday on yachts in Malibu and have money in Cayman island banks. They have nothing to fear, the left is defeated, the money making bandwagon can continue unabated and equity, equality is a lot further away than it has ever been.
At the next election we will have a choice between capitalism and capitalism, one will wear a blue rosette, one a red rosette, whoever wins will serve the interests of those of their yachts first and foremost. Yeah maybe the red rosette crowd will throw the working class a bone, us working class after all love bones, i had a chop once with some gristle on it.
What is also disturbing is that people who have similar beliefs to me are now all but excluded from the democratic process. Where do we go? I will never vote Tory, never vote Lib Dem, now Socialism is no longer wanted in the party I have been a member for nigh on 40 years I can not vote Labour. That hurts to say that.
As much as I hate the Tories, i hate Labour just as much. As apathy in politics is dangerous, I do hope for a new party of the left to rise out of the ashes of the Labour Party.
Solidarnosc comrades
Not surprised at this news.
Ha, made herself look a bit daft there.
Overall the point still stands tho. Because of our system, if you can't hold your nose and vote tactically, or for Starmer's Labour, who are an infinitely better (and only viable) alternative to the Tories, you're an idiot. Dearly held principles will mean fuck all during another 4/5 years of this shower of shit.
This forum would die a death if half a dozen posters or so suddenly became happy with the political picture so it’s time to switch hatred onto Starmer and co.
Ha. It would be a much less interesting place to waste some time at work if we all got along I suppose.
I just find the hatred of Starmer quite puzzling given he's the best chance of getting out what might be the worst government we've literally ever had.
Nice try. I'm sure if you went back and searched the thread you'd find the relevant bit where you attempted to justify staffers syphoning off election funds. From memory in the end we both agreed you were talking bollocks:)Again you appear to be mixing me up with someone else.
The detail like knowing who you're talking to feels like something you should invest more time in :)
Nobody is arguing that they are not the only viable option people are questioning this blind faith that they'd be 'infinitely better'.Ha, made herself look a bit daft there.

You could always try and argue why you believe they would be or stick to calling other posters idiots. It's up to you.

by definition liberal democrats are not left, in fact they are a party more akin to tories like most liberals areBased on your principles- you vote for the party most left with a realistic chance of getting rid of the Tories - so either Labour or Lib Dems

hate it when the left are lumped in as liberals, splitters and wankers.
have their cake amdneat it irrelevance.
The Lib Dems side with the Tories should they have a sniff of power.Do the Tories side with Lib Dem’s on migration ? EU ? Climate Change? Welfare state ? List is endles

Brexit? Could have changed that. They did and it was the only chance of having some power they got
Brexit? Could have changed that.
They facilitated a hard brexit instead of joining a government of unity to reduce the impact of it. Swinson didn't want anything to do with "Marxists"
They are to blame as much as the tories for the shitshow we're loving through. Facilitating two of the disastrous policies this country has ever had inflicted upon it
Yellow Tories.

Do they side with left wing ideology either?Do the Tories side with Lib Dem’s on migration ? EU ? Climate Change? Welfare state ? List is endles
We can't seriously be bringing up Brexit when talking about how there's no one as left as Corbyn to vote for?
Corbyn the career euroskeptic who refused to campaign for Remain until the last minute?
Corbyn who was campaigning for a Brexit referendum in 2011? Who opposed the Lisbon treaty?
But it's the Lib Dems who are to blame? The Lib Dems who are the only political party in the UK who have actually said they want to rejoin the EU?
