Keir Starmer

When billionaires and right leaning newspaper owners start lumping on labour, that means labour have aligned themselves with those people.
"Here comes the new boss, same as the old boss"
Not surprised, really. You can't get into government unless you ingratiate yourself with the people who really run the country.
As long as the flow of money continues to rise up, they would let a monkey into no.10 to run the country.

The country has been run by a bunch of Gareth Southgates for the last 14 years.

Starmer might not be Pep level but even if he's only as good as Ten Haag that would be an improvement.

I would say it's been run by a mix of alan balls and harry redknapps tbf incompetent and fully of dodgy bungs with a bit of bluff along the way.

If anything we are getting southgate with starmers appointment, safe, dull and will do what his paymaster(lobbyist, donors, etc) tell him.

I think it is more that right or right leaning newspapers, business, industry etc can see which way the wind is blowing and they jump on the train for fear of being left behind and having no influence on a future Labour administration.

They aren’t leading, they are following.

Your belief in government being the real power is sorely misplaced.
The labour party is now tory-lite. It is the politicians that have moved, not the 1%

This is no revolution. There might be mild change here or there but he’s getting in on the back of Tory incompetence.
