fwiw, hearing him speak I reckon he was a terrible advocate. Not saying he wasn’t an effective barrister, as he manifestly was, but that doesn’t mean he was a decent advocate, even as a criminal silk.

He’s made bad decisions but a fringe party was getting in anyway next, the country is absolutely finished and it’s only going to get worse no matter who won in 2024. Labour have made poor decisions with regards to the economy and managed to slow it more so than under Sunak’s government but medium to long term we’re going down anyway.I'm sure he was a good lawyer.
