Their full backs, Sagna and Clichy are a million miles better than Richards and Bridge, Bridge has looked top in the friendlies but no way is he better than Clichy. Sagna is world class, and if Richards ever reaches his level I will be a very happy man.
Vermaelen is Belgian, not Dutch. Vermaelen is the same age as what Evra and Vidic were when they came to England, age means nothing as a defender, and just because he's young it does not mean he won't turn out to be a class defender.

Yep good point. The top teams all defend from the front. I didn't say anything bad about any signing there lmao. I have been delighted with every single one of our signings so far barring Bellamy, RSC and now Toure. And even then, I'm not unhappy that we're strengthening, I'm just annoyed that we're not buying better players despite their availablity...
Bellamy, RSC and Toure are all very good signings. We cannot just throw money at every superstar. Hughes has got a great plan. lol, They are about 2 hours behind! He left the hospital to go to the hotel around 2pm.....not sure what time he got to the stadium, but SSN are miles behind!
