Kyle Walker newspaper story

The guy’s an idiot. Just this week we’ve been hearing about that copper (who raped and murdered) exposing himself and how women were traumatised by people who do such stuff. Luckily for Kyle it sounds like it was between friends but it really isn’t healthy behaviour.

Personally, any footballer/athlete getting so pissed during the season goes way down in my estimation, day off or not, we’ve got work to do in retaining our title and need everyone in top condition.
I would imagine that pissing it up on a regular basis is not on from a performance perspective anymore. I assume he does not go on the drink every time he has a couple of days off. His form this year is down to a significant extent and at his age he needs to look after the body.

Only watched the video now. So this is what all the fuss is about? Not the first time I saw a drunken man pulling his pants down. Or a woman lifting her shirt.

You may disagree with what Walker did. Getting drunk. You may have an opinion about it. Disagree. But don’t judge like your Mrs. Walker.
I hope City fans come up with a song that will embarrass Walker, and before opposing fans do. That’s who we are.

Btw are these camera views ment to go public? Are they not safety cameras? With images only used when a crime has been committed?
A crime was committed. If he did expose himself.

Looks like it was amongst friends and I've probably done some similar stupid shit - the difference is, when I was pissed up doing stupid shit I was in my late teens, early 20s, in a radically different social climate of the early 2000s.

He's 32, a professional, with four kids, regardless of his situation with his wife. If my employer saw me acting like that they wouldn't be pleased and I hate my kids seeing me have a beer, let alone pissed up on a Sunday afternoon unable to find my wallet and pay a bar bill - without even getting into getting his cock out.

Can't see anything major coming of it, but what a fucking idiot. The club won't take action and nor will pep, and I don't think they should, but they won't be happy about the headline on the back of a fairly up and down season will they? I don't have a problem with footballers drinking and making tits of themselves generally, but it's not a good look for a senior member of the squad who already has a couple of similar idiotic minor transgressions against his name.

Feel for his kids who will no doubt hear about it off peers.

The same Kyle Walker who was a decent pundit on the Sheffield Untied footy game recently may find punditry drying up soon. Allegations can cripple. If revealed as fact, let the punishment merit the action. No need for it.
Jamie Carragher can spit at kids, steal fans phones and abuse them. Yet he's still in a pundit role.

As someone relatively neutral to this situation, the only thing that makes me uneasy about this is the effect on his poor kids having a dad who seems allergic to growing up.

As for the actual incident, maybe it's because I'm your average old school hairy arsed site worker still stuck in the early 90s, but I can't see why anyone would be getting all wound up by it to the degree they are. I've got mates way older than him whose knobs I've seen out so often in public spaces I could probably draw them from memory. And most of the time this is from women requesting they do so to back up whatever brag they've just made.

It's all about context for me. If Walker had been filmed wanking in a bus shelter or deliberately showing his pecker to unknown passers by, then it becomes a much more serious threat, but the video is just usual pissed up shenanigans between people who know each other well enough to not be offended by one another. He of course should know better being a well known figure in a public place, but from various things I've heard about him down the years, he's well known for not being able to handle his ale.

I know "the times they are a changing", but this is clearly just hi jinx among friends and a tabloid shit stirring like crazy. I can't remember seeing a single bit of outrage before when some lass whips her spaniels ears out at Glastonbury in front of a crowd of 100,000 including loads of minors. It gets put on the big screen, everyone goes "wheyyyyyyyy" and then proceed to get on with their lives without fuss, arrests or public outcry, and I'd argue that is far worse than some footballer showing his tallywhacker to a couple of drunken baddies in what looks a relatively quiet and uninhabited space.

People comparing him to people like Wayne Couzens need to give their head a proper wobble tbh.

Someone in the office made the exact same comparison yesterday, I couldn't believe what I was hearing lol.

As you said it's all about context for me.

Wayne Couzens is a convicted rapist/murderer whatever you wanna call him.. Kyle was just pissed up and got carried away in a social setting with his mates. Slight difference

I'd think this incident would effectively kill the bar involved if people find out which one it is. Not only has it broken GDPR legislation but the trust of any customers it had. It didn't use it responsibly as it should but somebody with access to it sold it to the press. What else are they doing with footage of customers? They cannot be trusted.

Very wise comments. Of course Terriers are noted for their intelligence :)
