Fair play to the older players who are tempted to move onto another challenge in the twilight of their careers after an incredibly gruelling journey..
We effectively had 18 genuine first team players at the start of last season, plus Phillips and Gomez, then Lewis and Palmer. That's right, we're going to have a lot of money now, and besides, we're the best team on Earth, so why not, right? We should aim for the best players, not the Kalvin Phillips level, I reckon.
Why?This is a bad move for us imo. Pep usually doesn’t get it wrong, but I feel this will be his first.
Because Walker is arguably the best right back in the PL, possibly EuropeWhy?

That he is.Because Walker is arguably the best right back in the PL, possibly Europe
Isn’t the reality, however, that we have more than one system and adapt it accordingly? We may favour one system over another in more games, but when faced with a side with a flier, we still need pace at the back. In that regard, nobody else in our defence comes close to catching Walker, let alone the person he’s chasing. All about opinions mate though and it seems our system doesn’t require an orthodox full back any longer?
