Very important to keep him

I agree that we should be keeping him but I wouldn't give him a two-year extension when he already has another year left on his current deal. He'd be 36 by the end of a two-year extension.

Using him like we do currently will keep him fast until he’s 36. We don’t overuse him

There is a chance that his pace will go, and it could go pretty quickly....but I just can't see it happening in the next year, maybe even 2

He's still soooo fast and sooo strong, and he always keeps himself in shape

He's had a largely injury free career and he's getting more rest now that'll save his legs

A 2 year extension is a no brainer, maybe at the end of the 2nd year his pace will start to abandon him but he's earnt an extension

Whether he wants to accept that is a different story, maybe he really just wants a new challenge

Bit of a overhaul this summer but we risk losing a leader in Walker

But what is hard to believe in what he wrote?

Situations would never be black and white, all situations are still open for Walker so anything can still happen.
Well for starters he only has 1 season left so we wouldn't be offering a new 1 season deal now would we, which means it would be an extension or new 2 season deal at least. That makes nonsense of the first part of his tweet at least.

I don't read the transfer gossip about our players, it's 90% bullshit when they report on our players.

But walker, clearly not over the hill, Pep depends upon him, Walker still works hard and loves the club. You can't buy that, we're not selling him I reckon. Unless he wants to go but I don't see that .

I can’t imagine he is the type to want to
Uproot his kids to go to Germany. Will just be using the interest to flush out a good contract. 2 years and then maybe a final year at Sheffield and then retire. A glittering career.
Hopefully

Hopefully with another half a dozen medals added to his impressive collection
