I agree, the £50m for Walker is now obviously worth the price. We paid almost £58m for that sack of shit known as Benjamin Mendy (and I'm not even talking about his court case (exonerated) ) and that in hindsight was highway robbery.

Walker has, in my mind, "repaid" his fee.

not bad kane can play in debruyne role (may be not his level) but he can definitely play behind haaland. Alvarez has been playing like that last season in some games.

I don't normally click on gossip pieces, but I saw Walker's name, clicked on the article & it took me to the Fail (please don't judge me. I honestly didn't look beyond Walker's name).

Anyway, they've got a sensationalised story about grief between Kyle's wife & a woman he fathered a child with whilst split from his wife.

This woman wants him to make it known he has 4, not 3 sons, & seeing as he doesn't speak about her child publicly, she's doing it on Instagram instead! Shit happens in life, but how's this news FFS!

It's not just Walker who gets grief from them! A few months ago, a Spanish publication claimed Guardiola was having marital strife because he was recently caught nobbing Pique's estranged wife Shakira!

The gossip media are fuckin vermin! Kyle needs to stay, see out his career at City & ignore their bullshit.

In the meantime, we should be looking at Jurrien Timber as his longterm successor as well as Alphonso Davies who only has 2 years left on his Bayern contract, to fill our problem LB position too.
 
Walker has been a great servant and will be a big loss to the squad but I'm ok with this. His whole game relies on having blistering pace and at 33, probably won't have it for much longer. He's also only got one year left on his deal so this is our last chance to get something for him.

From his perspective, he's won the lot at City and after six physically and mentally draining years under an incredibly demanding manager he may feel it's time for a new challenge. Also, running his contract down would be a risky move because if he slows down next season then he won't get an offer like Bayern Munich again.

We need to overhaul the squad with players who are hungry for success if we want to stay at the top and it makes sense to start with those who would have needed replacing soon anyway.

Many CEO’s of football clubs have stated it’s an art selling at the right time? Say we get £20m for Kyle at 33 who has asked to leave for the opportunity then maybe it makes sense?

I didnt realise how much of a pompus, arrogant organisation Bayern were until we battered them, no wonder they're called hollywood fc.

Still, they're the best team we've faced this season bar none and along with Madrid our biggest threat to retaining the UCL, I dont think strengthening them is a good idea because thats what Kyle Walker does, even at 33 there isnt a RB in europe similar.

Imagine Kyle at RB & Davies at LB! WTF!

We need to keep Kyle & get Davies, & Jurrien Timber as Kyle's eventual successor. As it stands, I can see Lewis becoming a CM at City & only a stand in RB.
 
Walker's been a fantastic defensive RB and massively helped facilitate our high line. Going forward, he's very limited - the amount of times he gets into great positions and takes too long then makes an inaccurate pass.

He's won it all and if he wants more guaranteed playing time, then fair enough. I think the club should be happy to move on some players in their 30s, particularly when their success is based on physical attributes.
