but what a business by monaco with this generation. 250 millions and they could could get some 100 more for lemar and fabinho. plus money for cl run and french title.

Why do you care about being "used"? Honestly I've never understood it.

People bring this up all the time and I don't know why people think it's a bad thing, firstly it's almost always an oversimplification, people say "Oh he just used us" when actually a player probably just got convinced to stay at his current club and not uproot his life for a new contract and some promises of future investment/success etc. It doesn't mean the player wasn't very close to coming. Kroos was supposedly using Madrid's interest to make Bayern up his salary, some idiot in Bayern's boardroom got the hump with it, and now Real have Kroos. Who won?

If Mendes wants to use us to push Madrid into buying Mbappé either

(a) Mbappé goes to Madrid and not one of our rivals, Madrid are no longer a rival for any future striker targets.

(b) Madrid don't bite, and we get Mbappé, in which case, we have Mbappé.

You buy a ticket with these situations and sometimes you win. We've got our main targets sorted, if Mbappé goes to Madrid, it's cost us a few flights to Monaco and back, a few fancy dinners. Zero risk, high reward.

Yep let the media try and pick at our transfer spend compared to £200m on an 18y.o when we've needed to sort our defense out for years and got B. Silva for a very good price.

I care about wasting time in the transfer market when it is of no benefit to us.

All that matters is the squad and the players on the pitch

a) Mbappe wont go to one of our rivals.....Chelsea would be the only ones that could look at affording him and he aint going there
B) -Zidane is already on record as saying he likes the player....thats as good as saying he wants him...

We should be concentration on getting the signings we want, not on helping a greedy agent and some media hacks.
