Last Film You Saw

Spectre, probably the worst Bond film of recent times.Poor script - no real substance and very boring,Bond is obviousy unrealistic by definition but this film just took the piss.A very disappointing 4/10
Nowhere near as good as Skyfall. The last few Bond films, since Craig became Bond, have been hit and miss. Casino Royale and Skyfall were/are excellent. Spectre is competent, nothing more (the Mexico City opening is well staged though). And Quantum of Solace was downright poor, no other way of describing it.

Everest. Sort of brought home how mental some people are to actually want to do that.

7/10
I agree but I found it a bit predictable. It was obvious that it would end up in a tits up situation, and the gobby brash Texan would probably take the brunt of it. could have been a great film, ended up a bit like the Towering Inferno in predictable cheese

Not sure if you know mate, but it's based on a true story, they're not going to make their own shit up just to make it a 'less predictable' film.

Captain Phillips 9/10

I'd like to know how close to the facts Hollywood went on this or whether they interpreted some of the stuff to glamorise it.
If they did follow suit then the bit where about 4 U.S. Navy marine ships turned up just seemed so overkill to take down 4 Somalian pirates on a life boat, but I guess it is America....

Gravity 6/10

Really disappointed, my expectations were really high as everyone I spoke to or heard from had this film in their must see/best films seen list. About half way through I lost interest and started fucking about on my tablet..... Sandra Bullock still looks fit for a 50 year old though, maybe it was the pants but her arse looked in pretty good shape!

The big short.

I didn't understand 100% of it, but a good 90%, loved it to be honest, they explain stuff like you're a 7 year old which is a positive.
Best film I've seen in a while.

Hurts to watch it though....I lost an embarrassing amount of money in the tech bubble and this one was pretty much the same madness. Todays madness IMO is environmentalism and diversity. Noble on face value but just facades to make money.

Ocean's Eleven (2001)

A very cool and slick film. Never asks you to devote much attention or connection, but rather you go along for the ride.
