Lavezzi is a top top player but in 2+ years you will see him depreciate, we must think long term mate in my opinion.

Definitely.
When it comes to ability he's not much better than bale but he is far more consistent.
As for hazard, he's never played against a good team, he's completely unproven. Even in the french league hazard just looked decent.
Lavezzi looks excellent consistently in the Italian league and even proven himself against us.

Lavezzi would be brilliant, much rather him than bale.

Yeah I agree, I think at the moment Lavezzi is the better player but Bale edges it because of his age, premier league experience and attitude.

Lavezzi is close to a PSG move as PSG offered €26m. Napoli are adamant though on a full €31m to fulfill his release clause.

Not sure if we were really ever in for him, but at the minute the prices being banded around for our so called targets are too high.

Lavezzi - £32m+
Cavani - £35m+
But it is not just the actual signing fee, but the wages being demanded now by players that can take you over the threshold for the FFP. Chelsea though don't seem to be worrying about this!! It will be interesting to see what happens.
We first need to get rid of the dead wood, and quicker rather than slower. If we can offload them asap than at least we know what we have to work with in terms of bringing in the players we do need and on what wages.
2 signings I would get done now for me would be Javi Martinez from Bilbao and i would also take Sneijder from Inter.

I had heard of Kun, Silva, Yaya, etc way before they turned up. It's not as if he is a youngster either.
We are now at the stage where I believe we will only be buying top quality and probably young.
So you need to ask who are the best players in the world in midfield and defence around the age of 24/25?
