Which would you rather win?

League. The CL is a cup competition which has been won by teams that were only 6th in their domestic leagues and teams that have not won a domestic title in 30 years.

We don’t really have an option other than to go all out for both the PL and the CL. The real question is how seriously should we treat the domestic cups
Fringe squad for the league cup to keep players sharp, take it round by round in the FA Cup. We managed all 4 well last season and didn't burn out at any stage and the squad is arguably stronger this season.

We havent been very near since it have we, that has been pretty much ensured.
Not as close no, but us being shit in first legs is a pretty significant contributing factor. Has it only been fixed since that game? We've had consistently easy draws since then which would be a weird way of UEFA trying to get us knocked us out at every opportunity.

I dont enjoy CL games, not anything about them.
You're entitled to your opinion. For me the away trips are the best aspect of supporting City, and the home games are some of the rare occasions there is a decent atmosphere.

The league system is shite, the 2 leg knockouts are too tactical, it is seemingly illegal to challenge for the ball, the standard of refereeing is a joke, there is barely concealed bias and we get hammered in the press for quite rightly booing their stupid little tune. I wont be putting myself through it, Im not interested.
Not sure where to begin on this. If the league aspect is shit, and the 2 leg knockout games are too, what sort of competition are you after? We would do well to be more tactical in the knockout games because we've been pretty shit up to this point. I find the standard of refereeing to be equally poor domestically and on the continent. Several other clubs boo the Champions League anthem, and we don't get hammered in the press for it.

Let the dippers play in their new club. UEFA didnt care about their feral supporters rioting when our players arrived to take part in it so they can get fucked as far as Im concerned.
They did care, but it happened outside the ground so isn't their jurisdiction. Merseyside police have a lot to answer for, but it happened 18 months ago, and wasn't the reason we got thumped 3-0 by a team that finished 25 points behind us in that season. Move on.

You’ve got all the answers , do you work for uefa ?

It would be amazing to win the CL, especially this year as it's David's last season with us.

I'm not sure that Pep, or anyone in the team, would want to take their eyes away from the league though - winning a triple premiership is something more than special.

And, however much the boys want the CL, the premier league triple is at least equally as wonderful.

We're in a unique position of defending titles now, already defended the PL, the Charity Shield, and set to defend the league cup (again) and the FA cup and Pep won't want to drop a game, but i think he's been building a team with enough depth to battle all fronts this season, and i can't help but think this time next year we'll have defended everything and won the CL too - as has been said above, it will be the icing on the cake.

Very true. If we win everything the media will be silent all close season. All the football pages will be blank and there will no football on Sly. Be prepared.

Champions league. I'm sick of reading that we're not part of the elite til we've won it.

Also I'd relish the wailing of the UEFA corruptocracy and their zombie army about it being the death of football.

Me neither , it’s absolutely shite , couldn’t care less about it , I enjoy the league cup more.

Champions League just to ram down UEFA, the media, rags/dippers throats. And to put an end to the ludicrous doubting of Pep from every Johnny Keyboard across country.
