LeagueCup SF - Man Utd - away allocation of only 3000 (p30)

It wasn't sold as a rolling system, and it was either sign up for that or Superbia which cost £1k more than all my tickets had. If you didn't sign up you points got halved, it was a threat not an oppertunity.
It was sold as pay £50 pa. you will get double points and in time you will climb a ladder putting you in a better position to obtain away tickets in front of people who did not have £50.
However you dress it up that's not happening and you have been misold a product maybe like an endowerment policy, where it didn't do what t and c said it would?

There was never any real chance of catching up as the top points were forced to pay it - and they reduce tickets going to points. There was never any promise of cathing up.

It was 2011 when it was introduced and this is the 9th year, not the 5th and you have stated. They are scrapping points anyway which is the bigger issue.

Are they? Changing to what please?

To a system based on how much you spend on food & drink in the stadium and merchandise in the City store.

That's me fucked then as I spend nothing other than on my SC :)

Well done City, great decision but just so you know, I met quite a few Blues at the match today, not one of them believe this had anything to do with the police and everyone of them is pissed off with your decision. As own goals go, this was as good as Jamie Pollocks all those years ago.

Relocating the entire home support in the cup schemes in the south stand to other seats around the ground for a derby semi-final must be a major exercise for us and for the rags too

I think both clubs were delighted to find an excuse to avoid doing so.

Bastards. This would have been my first opportunity of a swamp visit since the last semi when of course they did not have the convenient excuse.

And has been the case for years now. The silence from Khaldoon, Soriano and the club is deafening. In fact, it keeps in getting quieter every season.

If those running the club think City Matters is working and will appease the fans, they are sadly mistaken and deluded. Sorry PB & Co.

In a perverse way I hope United fans buy tickets for all parts of the ground on ticket resale websites for the 2nd leg.

And when it goes off all around the ground I want Soriano & Co, as well as the United Directors, to witness at first hand the mess they have created.

I can't wait for Liverpool at home in the PL.

Every f***ing Scouser to a Man will be trying to buy tickets in the home end from ticket resale websites.

Nothing beats that!

That would be good if you could ask I'd be interested in the answer. I think if I'd paid out say £250 to be stuck on a points level that dosnt get you anything and City arnt prepared to honour what they advertised it would either come under sale under false pretence or not fit for purpose maybe?
The terms and conditions have been changed and if it was your intention to build your points up you have been misold imho

I discussed it with my solicitor friend on the way home from today’s game and he said it probably comes down to what City did or didn’t promise. If fans were advised that Platinum was unlikely to be around for ever more then there probably isn’t a case. If the Club told people it would be around for tyonks then that could be another kettle of fish.

But City have honoured the bargain. If you paid £50, it was a ludicrously cheap way of doubling your points (and still is even though they don't give points for away games). I pay £765 for my season ticket, which gives me 190 points. Pay £815 and I'd get 380 plus double points for the other 10-12 home games we'll play in a typical season, not tomention the points for cup schemes.

You've had those points if you've paid it and, until such time as City decide to change the way points are allocated, you'll keep them. There's no legal issue at all here. If your car insurance included a protected NCD for which you paid a £50 premium and the insurance company removed that option, you couldn't claim against them for the prvious years you'd paid. If on the other hand City said they were scrapping Platinum and removed all the additional points you'd accrued since 2010, then I suspect you would have a case.
