a very typical comment from any manager.

He isn't going o give anything away incase it jeprodises the transfer....its easier just to deny everything, lower expectations just incase something goes wrong with eh deal..

Schalke have already confirmed he wants to leave, (to and English club)....now its just negotiations on price I reckon...which is why Pepe has said what he has.....we are yet to agree a price with Schalke but according to the ITK's that is usually the least part of any transfer..the most important part is that the player wants to come and i think its pretty clear he does

Sorry if I mis-read it earlier in thread, but I think Ric mentioned that the fee was already agreed (44mil euros) but the add-ons had been holding things up....Not really sure Pep could say anything else tonight until its official.....which is hopefully very soon!;)

Jesus Christ, I know the media want to turn every potential player transfer into a big story or, god forbid, a saga, but we've already been provided with enough information to know this is going to happen. Pep's talking in his third or fourth language - that he's only been speaking for about 5% of his life up to this point - so things are going to get lost in translation.

Schalke have said Sané has declared a wish to leave the club and sign for an English team, Bayern and Madrid have both said they're not interested. Calm down, yeah? Pep's going to be coy about any deals we're sorting out until the player is holding the shirt up on the official site. The quote itself isn't encouraging but it's not likely that he means exactly what he's said.

And if he doesn't sign for us then we sign someone else before the window shuts.

Guys, stop flapping.

Yesterday Schalke's director said Leroy wants to leave for "a club in England".

We have agreed everything wth the player, who obviously wants to come here specifically. It's a one horse race.

So now we have the upper hand in negotiations, given his €33m clause next summer and Schalke's need to sell him this summer.

I'm sure the gap between the two clubs will be bridged.
