Lescott and Garcia Partnership

Javi Garcia is simply awful in every position. He can't run, rarely seen a pro athlete with such an awkward running gait. Boyata should play ahead of him. Lescott is a decent player but really needs a better player beside him to manage him, tell him what to do etc.

I cant understand why we went out and done most of our transfer business nice and early yet we are still fucking about for a centre back. We need to go out and get a quick, strong experienced c/b TOMORROW.

This this and this again! Its just fucking incompetent.

A player who isn't good enough for Bolton isn't good enough for our squad and after
Allowing Toure to go, incorrectly in my opinion, not getting someone in as soon as Nastasic was injured is just shite.

Garcia is never a CB and Lescott is past his best. Kompany out means we are fucked and I expect the same at Stoke if this is not resolved.

We already had a quick strong cb in kolo, he was awesome for Liverpool vs villa.
Awful decision to allow him to go.

i can describe their partnership in one word : USELESS

City desperately needs CB which is born leader, experienced and intelligent. without Kompany, City looks like headless chicken and leaderless. Yaya should not be a skipper at the first place, he's a moody player. when he's not in the mood, he will bring along the team with him.

I'm little bit disappointed with Hart, which is not live up to the hype as England's Number 1. he should learn how to command and inspire his backline. please drop him for the next game, give Pantilimon chance he deserve. if he's perform, let he stay there as long as it takes. Hart needs to learn from basic.

A team is built from the back, with solid foundations the rest of the players have the confidence to play without fear.

Yesterday we looked shaky as fuck at the back and it was very evident that both our usually adventurous fullbacks were very reluctant to get forward, probably with regards to the fact that they knew the two centre halves had no pace, minimal mobility and a lack of understanding and would have been exposed on the counter.

Zab had a terrible match and i dont think it was coincidence but a lack of faith in his colleagues which caused him to lose focus on his own game.

Its deeply concerning just how much the loss of Kompany damages our play.

We need a CB but who?

It needs to be someone that can deputise for VK when he's unavailable, someone who's good enough to lead the defense. But a player of that quality will be unlikely to warm the bench.

Which means that we need a big physical player who can play right or left centre back. And that Nastasic temporarily loses his starting role.

Have we not bought a new centre back yet, after that showing we definitely need one asap. Garcia is just not good enough.

People want a solution, and generally they want one that is a quick fix. No matter what this forum loves generating scapegoats where any and all ills including the cure for cancer and world poverty would be solved just by starting the perfect mix of players.

I disagree. Lescott has been here for 3 or 4 years and I think its generally accepted that as a 'senior' centre-half he is not good enough, he needs Kompany to babysit him. As for Garcia, he's been here for 12 months and its clear that he isn't good enough either in midfield or defence

I wouldn't say that anyone is looking for a 'quick-fix' regarding these two as it has been a problem for as long as they have been here. The last time they played at centre-back we got hammered off S'hampton. Now I'm not saying it is all their fault but the general uncertainty and lack of quality on the ball as well as lack of pace are all serious problems that should have been addressed a long time ago.

If they had played at centre-back for Cardiff we would have scored 10! They are not up to it at this level. Its not a case of scapegoating people, they just aren't good enough at this level, its as simple as that
