I'll take £24m off you for Lescott , nearly 5 times what we paid for him ..... thanks boys .. I couldn't be bothered about making a complaint about citys blatant " tapping up " of the player , we'll hit you where it hurts , .... we'll stuff you at piddle Eastlands and at GP , I wonder if joleon has remembered to tell you ....in training the Yak and King Louis take the piss out of him something wicked :)

Enjoy your few months in the limelight boys because you'll soon be were you always are .. and deserve ...... propping up the better teams and fighting for 9th alongside Fulham and West ham ... you just may see us miles ahead of you .. , I'll wave back at you :)

Great press conference by Joleon. Wasn't expecting him to lay into Moyes like that. Won me over already!

Was that a new training top he had on? Not seen that one before.
I was about ten seconds away from a massive Clarkie... luckily the old 4pm thing clicked...

Ooooo! I thought we were on the verge of a legendary one then! I've just discovered that attempting to set someone up for an epic Clarkie is really good fun! It should be a sport.

Lescott, 27, passed a medical in Manchester on Monday and personal terms of £90,000-a-week are understood to have been agreed by the England player.

But the finer details of the transfer have yet to be thrashed out, with City still to finalise agreements with all parties involved in the negotiations.

The Eastlands club had hoped to unveil Lescott officially at a press conference later today and, while such an event may yet take place this afternoon, the player might ultimately be presented to the media on Wednesday should completion of the transfer be delayed further.

City regard the hitch as a minor inconvenience, with both the Lescott and Everton ends tied up, yet the transfer cannot be officially signed off until an agreement is struck with representatives involved in the deal.

Premier League newcomers Wolves are due to receive in excess of £3m from the transfer having insisted on a 15 per cent sell-on clause when selling Lescott to Everton for £5m in 2006.

Lescott's arrival at Eastlands will take manager Mark Hughes's spending close to the £120m mark this summer and the former Molineux defender could make his debut in the Premier League clash with Portsmouth at Fratton Park on Sunday.

Looks like its the representatives which is holding it up.
