Lescott take a bow

Lescott's always been a liability, neither him nor MDM are anywhere near good enough but I can see why MP picks MDM because at least he's decent on the ball.

We have had 6 good years from him and if we are to have any chance of winning the league he will have a part to play for the remainder of the season.

I don't think he can be blamed too much tonight.

Based on that first half, I should expect not to see Martin D as partner for Vinny again, this season.

Excellent, so far.

Lol.

Awful in the first half, perhaps worse in the second. Culminating in being unable to control his own legs and gifting Messi a chance.

Demicheles walks into the side without even having to tie his hair up.

Lescott didn't dive in and hand Messi a pen, though, did he? Fair enough, the world's greatest player took him for a run, but he missed having been kept up with.

Makes a difference in my book.

I thought he was unlucky taking his eye off the ball, for it to bounce in Messi's path for his goal. He didn't do too much in the whole game, just small things here and there.

For that reason, Lescott is far and ahead the better partner for Vinny.

Probably not the best time to say this....but some city fans need a head wobble. Whatever Lescott is or isn't he was part of a title winning defence. Show a little respect. We were playing fucking Barcelona- they pass teams to death and count on one fuck up due to the total concentration defending against them requires.

Is Lescott the answer...no probably not. But he's the best partner for kompany in our squad.

Yes, he did it in the first 5 mins, we were saved only by the absolute and utter incompetence of the officials.

Played really well for 99.9% of the game - at the very highest level, that 0.1% can make you look shit
