Lescott

I really hope this guy has an outstanding game today and maybe even scores a goal. He got blamed for the scunthorpe goal when it was kompanys fault for flying in with a challenge and messing it up. I rate him quite highly and when he and the rest of the defence clicks they'll be a good unit.

So come on lads get behind the team and dont rip into them

Played a blinder today can't believe some folk are blaming him for 2 goals just plain ridiculous

Yeah I thought he put in a fine performance for 93 minutes and 58 seconds, and when he had to deal with that 105/-5 ball and let Nougat nearly nick it . . . . . . . . . . . . .

I thought Lescott was outstanding today, certainly in the second half.

He's made mistakes but he's a very good player in my opinion.

To me Lescott looks like someone who has quit a good job for one he doesn't like. I don't know why he doesn't like it but who cares? Get rid.

One of the few advantages of super high footballer wages is that we can be ruthless and unkind in wanting to dispose of duffers like Lescott. He's made for life so we needn't feel guilty about how he's going to feed his kids.

Did well today. The odd blip which leaves you scratching your head and wondering whether the rest of the back 4 have actually ever met. But that's not solely his responsibility - and those that keep slaughtering him a la the treatment of the Edge should just fuck right off IMHO.

best game for City today. Not every player can leave one club, go to another and just pick up where he left off. He's settling into City well, is getting over the price tag, and his performances are improving.

Was very concerned about our defence last season and I was confident that this would be addressed over the summer - does £50m not give anyone confidence? Seems not, even among our defenders and if this is not addressed this could spell the end of Sparky. As a past attacker I am wondering what input the other coaches are having. or do we not need to appoint a specialist coach to address this depressing situation at the back?

I find one of Lescotts greatest flaws is his decisions to let long balls coming into defence bounce. Nearly caught him out in the final seconds, and has done so in a few games so far.

I think hes a good player when on form.
Today was way of that, i think he needs to settle, in mean time i think Tevez or Dejong would be better at centre back, Dejong is solid, tevez is scary and never gives up lol. Thank god we still have kompany, richards, and nedum
