If the tie is won in the first leg or we are comfortable position, won’t be such a bad idea for Fernandinho to pick that yellow so he can miss the second leg and then be available for the Semis. I’m sure Pep or his team has been in his ear and told him the scenarios.

A la Ramos last night. Dunno if the cards get cleared for semis ?

This is not a league game it is a champions league game, we need to remember that it doesn't end after 90 minutes and away goals count for everything. My bet is Pep is demanding goals tonight, lots of them. Even if they repeat their *famous* 4-3 win then all we have to do is win 1-0 at home and we are through.

All they have banged on about in the build up to this is Anfield and the last time we went to Anfield but they haven't considered the last time Liverpool went to the Etihad where they got completely mullered. So tonight they are going to try and get it done at their place and the best way to get past that is to equal or outscore them which we can do easily.

Lets give them their 20 minutes of running around like lunatics, singing their cult tune, setting fire to the place and waving their flags but for us all we have to do is turn up and play our football which is the only part that matters and we are better than them at it.

If we can keep the ball as good as we did at Everton and limit their chances then all that is left is taking chances.

4-3 tonight would be a decent result

Surely no Blue in their right mind is gonna want to listen to an hour of Gerrard and Ferdinand, possibly Scholes too, before 90 minutes of McManaman or possibly Owen?

Jeez.....what a bunch of slack gobbed monosyllabic tramps.

Not one of them can string a coherent sentence together without gobbing like Carragher on speed !!

The pundits should be completely independent of both clubs.

Rumoured Liverpool team:

Karius, Alexander-Arnold, Lovren, VVD, Robertson - Milner, Oxlade-Ch, Henderson - Mane, Salah, Firmino

Proper dog midfield that, we will control it with Silva on the pitch this time.
They're hanging their hat on the 4-3, where we were without the best player in the country at holding possession high up the pitch

Other than the front three, that team is gash. Karius, Alexander-Arnold, Milner, Ox and Henderson wouldn’t get in our second team.

I have absolutely no negative emotion, fear or nerves for tonight.

They will score, we will score more.
Etihad we will tear them apart!

I thought we'd lose at Anfield in the league, and we did. This time I'm nervous, but unusually confident. We've performed well in the UCL so far this season when it mattered. Silva is back in the side, the importance of which cannot be overstated. They also have a number of important injuries. It's a horrible place to go, but I think we can get a decent result tonight. Bearing in mind that Liverpool's best result of the season, their 4-3 win over us, would not constitute a good result at home in the Champions League, and I don't think we'll perform worse than that. Going for a 2-3 away win!

Just praying that Pep doesn't start Sterling...

Living proof footballers know little about football and don't get me started on the commentary.

Another 4-3 to them and we'll be going through at the Etihad no doubt.

Pep's press conference to me says he's not bothered if we concede, as long as we score a couple. I reckon he's thinking we can score more away goals than them, and with the second leg at our place, will therefore not be anywhere near as defensive as people think we may need to be against their attack.

Attack vs attack for this leg and go from there is how I see it.

Please destroy this lot. If they get a result, they'll be claim g they've won it.

Good luck...

1-3 to City

I agree with you.......I too think City will win 1-3. Arse away 3-0 at h/t. Everton away 3-0 at h/t.
Come on City - please roast this lot.
