If we can’t beat a midfield of Ox Henderson and Milner then we don’t deserve to get any further in this competition. That’s an absolute average midfield. Come on you blues!

Their back 4 and midfield is ordinary.

We turn up tonight mentally and we will win.

It will spur City on their antics, if we play anywhere near our potential tonight we will stuff these shysters....!
fuckin sick of hearing about how brilliant a team is who have won precisely fuck all since the old king died....!

Not sure what Gundogan has done to warrant a start but hey ho that’s what we pay Pep for.

Hope we batter these twats tonight!!!

I hope he has a shitter, they're fuck all if he don't turn up.

With Pep's selections:

Laporte is a more refined defender than Danilo (for anyone thinking he should start) with his positioning so even with the issue of him plausibly getting beat for pace, Laporte has that skill as well as a track record of being good against pacey wingers and making recovery tackles.

I think in his first game for us we saw a bit of this.

I also wonder if we see real problems defending on the left wing, that if KDB is on the right wing (as I forgot where he played in the Carabao cup final), that Pep can put KDB on that side for better cover compared to Sane.

I thought Bernardo would start if Raz did not, but I think I can see the benefits of cover for the defence with Gundogan instead of Bernardo.

Evening everyone! I've stayed off all footballing related websites all day and had a very enjoyable and stress-free day planting in my garden. Now it's time for the first beer and to get in the mood. Like the team. Slightly more pragmatic, which is sensible for the first hour and a half of a 3 hour tie. And options on the bench if needed. We have the beating of this lot and our players will be focussed and professional. In contrast to Liverpool players who will be too hyped up, manic and blow themselves up. Pep and the boys will have learnt from last time and won't make the same mistakes. It's a mild night here in Liverpool with no rain. Come on City!

what the fuck is the point in the scouse police even following the coach? The did naff all as expected. Imagine doing that at home? the fuckers would be jumping out of trees to arrest us.
