Liverpool (H) | PL | Post Match Thread

Bar one poor throw, Ederson was superb today. His passing was ridiculous. Contrast that to his opposite number who had a dreadful game from a distribution perspective.
You can argue that a City outfield player will come up against an equally matched player during the season.
Ederson when compared to the opposition Keeper. Never looks inferior to his opposite number.

Proper Blues who piss off early every match!

Half and halfs are flogged by wankers outside who would also sell tickets to absolutely anybody for a profit.

The scarfs are bought as a souvenirs, just as programmes used to be. Not for me but it's no big deal.

Casual fans have always attended football matches, it's not a crime!
Is this you trying to tell us you have a collection of half and half scarves? We won’t laugh I promise

It’s part and parcel of success, global football tourist paying big money to second hand ticket agencies. They won’t be a problem when we are in the National league North, although Wrexham may disagree
We were these annoying people. We had planned a family trip to London this fall (from US) and when we found out City would be at Stamford Bridge that weekend I told my husband (he’s a Spurs fan) I was going no matter the cost. (We went and it was truly a dream come true for me - I can’t believe you all can go see this team play regularly.) That said, even though it was $$ for reseller tickets, it’s still cheaper than a lot of pro sports in the US. So I’m sure it will just get worse for you all. Especially since football is definitely a more upper class sport here - people who have $ to burn. I knew it was bad to support the market, but because it was Chelsea and I’m not on a forum with those people I didn’t care as much.

Anyhow, the info that came with our tickets (we sat in the Chelsea family section) had very strict instructions about no half and half scarves, no City colors, etc. I knew all this from this forum and friends that are lifelong fans, but they definitely put the fear of god in you that you’ll be thrown out. (And my 9 yo really wanted a cheesy scarf!) Granted we got to our seats and there were empty seats around us and not a real Chelsea fan in sight. But Im super surprised to see others either flouting or not afraid of the guidelines at the Etihad.

And you’re right, I won’t watch City if they’re in the National League, as I don’t think I’d be able to watch that in the US. Unless they still have City plus.

Got home just in time to see Arsenal spawn a win and go top, which was rather more annoying than City dropping a couple of points; not that it’s not highly irritating not to have won, especially now I have seen a reply of the match and the disallowed Dias goal. Very frustrating that Allison was allowed to get away with poor keeping.

The thin bench didn’t help City. Alvarez shouldn’t have been playing and was slow to react to TAA‘s presence when he scored the undeserved equaliser, and how Sly Sports gave him MotM.

Either Bernie or Doku should have been MotM.

City do need to be a little more clinical but kudos to Erling on his rapid progression to 50 league goals.

Ederson’s passing was outstanding today.

City are still the best team in the league and would be even better if we could field our best XI; hopefully that will come in the second half of the season.

If we can keep Stones and KDB fit from January then no teams are going to be better. It’s a big if with those two though. We are so much better when Stones plays and KDB can conjure a goal from nothing which we do seem to be lacking a bit this season.

Still feel like we haven’t even started yet but still up there Cmon City

Just for the record win, lose or draw by far their fans are the most despicable feral bunch of sewer rats I have ever come across. Let’s not lose sight of how horrible and entitled they are!
I totally agree. They are 90% a fucking horrible, weird, cult like bunch. But in south stand 3 just after they had scored, I was ashamed to be a city fan. Two dipper fans stupidly were in our end and got rumbled. They weren't celebrating or being dicks. When they were ‘persuaded’ to leave, on there way out they were attacked, punched, kicked and thrown down the steepest stairs in word football. Cowards kicking fuck out of them as they tried to get out. It was like a pack of fucking monkey’s. There was blood on the stairs and in the block entrance/exit when we left. Totally uncalled for and made us look every bit as bad as we think they are. Made me realise we are as bad as them, which I never thought I’d EVER say. It made the rest of the game irrelevant for me and has stayed with me all night. I’m so sick of everything about this wank country. I’m sure the hundreds of kids sitting around us would have learnt so much. Well done dick heads.

For the first time ever I saw an opposition supporter thrown out of SS3 in a League game today (I posted this earlier when I was on the way home).

He was being taken out by several stewards from behind me in 316 after Liverpool scored and he was getting lots of digs as he passed by. His nose was streaming blood and he looked shocked.

What was he doing in there as I thought all of SS3 was SCs only. Saw a few half and half scarves too and people around me commented on it. Not great if the club is selling tickets that were previously SCs (I wouldn't be at all surprised at that tbh as no SCs have been issued for last season and this one).

Seems it was all around the ground.

Anyone who scores a goal that takes points of City will always be MOTM, simples. Doku gave Arsehole a proper going over but that doesn’t count, well not for the bitter cunts who hate us.

We are not as bad as them. Not by a long stretch.

Not condoning the behaviour you’ve described in any way, shape or form, but you must know we as a fanbase would have to do some unimaginably despicable things to deserve a direct comparison.

Alvarez has been piss poor this last couple of months but we don't really have an option to replace him with.

It was completely ott. And you’re right nobody could be as bad as them, but these guys were obviously not your typical scum fans. It was totally ott

Anyone see the scouse **** in SS3 jump up after they scored ? Absolutely fucking battered he won’t be doing that agai

Just imagine what would've happened to a City fan if the same thing happened at their shithole ? ,a bloody sight worse than a couple of digs .
