I seriously don't think Merseyside police are best suited to tracking the bombers associates down, As they couldn't manage one arrest for the criminal damage to City's coach despite some of the offenders standing on their own police vans.

He saved a much bigger issue by locking the bomber in his taxi. At least, that is what I read and was confirmed to me by someone who knows him.

The fare was to the hospital. As they got close, the driver noticed him fiddling with something that was illuminated under his coat. It sounds like he saved lives by locking him in at that point. The driver suffered a perforated ear drum and cuts but is, thankfully, okay.

good friend is n police armed response was told he was initially trying for the remembrance gathering but was late so went to the hospital, as the bomber lent forward to pick his bag up the bomb accidentally exploded, the Covid screen in the taxi probably saved the drivers life

makes sense 2bh. It didn't make sense for the bomb to go off when it does having seen the footage unless the bomber was an idiot or it had inadvertently gone off early. Also don't think the driver knew anything about it judging by the footage. Lucky escape really.
