Re: Liverpool Thread 2012
Was Kenny giving time? What does that even mean?
The main problem Liverpool have is not the manager, but the squad. Too many average players (that have managed to get themselves picked for England somehow) who only play one in four games or so.
Whatever, I just don't think this is a gamble. He's a good manager, not a huge name but a very good manager.
The fans need to realise they are no longer a big draw for players or managers, they need to build a side that plays good football. They also need to be patient and let the manager do his job. If they do that, they have a good manager in place to do that job.

first couple of games it will be new manager syndrome, but after that hope they carry on dropping points
Rodgers is a very capable manager. If you weren't impressed by the way his Swansea side played the game then you don't know much about football. If the scousers can get over themselves and their 'istree' and just give the bloke the time and funding he needs, he will build a very good side for them.
I don't think they'll have the patience though.
look at Kenny was he giving time? No
liverpool fans wants success again and fast. If he doesn't pick up many points in the league i can see their fans turning on him.
All am saying is this is a massive gamble by Liverpool.
It may well work out or it might not, we shall see.
