Not sure how anybody can argue against that penalty being given. They were the better side and got the win they deserved, something we couldn’t do against the same opposition.

You're missing the point.

We're slagging Liverpool off here if you don't mind.

I apologise.
Bus wrecking scum.

Given the state of officiating this season, I would not be shocked if Raz got booked for diving for exactly the same incident.

The officiating across this league is piss poor but this forum doesn’t half love a good completely hypothetical situation that screws us over

The problem is that VAR won't scrutinise that and give Mane the yellow he deserves for simulation (cheating). It's a given it's a clear penalty and the lack of scrutiny highlights the bent nature of the officials and their desperation to keep the dippers ahead of us.

Compare that penalty to our second goal against Villa where the knob head at Stockley Park tried for a good four minutes to find fault and overturn the goal.

The dippers should be ashamed of themselves, they get as much help as required from the officials, they've got the media backing them and they still can't win the fucking thing. Has it dawned on Klopp and his dentures the premier league just isn't for him?

VAR can't do anything with it but wise and fair ref would get even more wiser seeing the **** diving each week and standing 5 yards from it. It was visible on TV in real time that he dived before any contact and he "can't" see it from 5 yards without any obstruction.

Not yet for me.

Only four clubs (/five teams) have won three league titles in a row in English football history.

I want that more than anything this year, by a mile!

Thr CL will come when it comes, 2022...2050...whenever. But by fuck I want that third Prem in a row!
3 in a row is great, and a huge feather in the cap of Pep and the lads, but if I could choose only one of them, I’d prefer the CL...and not just so David Silva could top off his career as City Captain holding aloft the only trophy that has eluded him!

We look like pretenders to European teams. We have done well domestically, but we have never amounted to anything in Europe, even under Pep. I think the owners, Pep, and the players ALL WANT THE CL TROPHY!!! I’m with them, even though I’d happily take a PL Threepeat!

That said, if it keeps Liverpool from winning the PL, then it might almost be worth it!!!

have another look at that video and tell me you still think that penalty was deserved. That’s twice Mane has cheated and Var is blind to it so it’s obvious there’s some big money involved in the dippers title win.

As others have said, Aurier has no clue that Mane is behind him.
Aurier is in control of the ball, not Mane and he is impeded by Mane as he attempts to kick it.
Just because Mane chooses to place his leg there and it is kicked, does not automatically mean a penalty.

To be honest, we played better vs Spurs than they did.

Things just didn’t run for us the same way though.

- One of their players didn’t miss an open net.
- We didn’t get a penalty
- We had a winner ruled out for handball

Against the same opposition Lamela had Rodri in a forearm chokehold at a corner and then threw him to the ground. The cheat that goes by the name of Michael Oliver was looking straight at it, waved play on and didn't even refer it to VAR.

on MNF G Nev analysed the vary same incident and froze it at the point Rodri was wrestled to the ground and it clearly showed Oliver looking the other way , GNev point was why hasn't VAR told him hes missed an obvious penalty ?

The penalty was a clear foul on the full back, regardless of which team 'deserved' to win it was a clear bit of cheating, and its amazing how often these things seem to happen when they need a bit of help.

The game is corrupt

I'm amazed (well not actually) by the lack of 'controversy' about that penalty...

As soon as it happened it was obvious that Mane had fouled Aurier and he pretty much admitted as much in the post match interview.

This season is going to be the end of football for me at this rate.

Mane is halfway down when he initiates contact yet again.

he is a serial diver, a cheat and he is rewarded every time for it.
