Unless we get a positive result today it may unfortunately become our worst nightmare.I don't know why they do it to themselves. I think the majority of their fans think it's their divine right to win the quadruple..

Amended slightly.Whenever I went to Cup Finals – and I went to several at the old twin towers Wembley – Abide With Me was a really important moment. I'm not a Christian, or religious, so it had nothing to do with any of that, but it was a song that emphasised the gravitas of 100.000 people all being gathered together in a high state of expectation.
They bang on about history, but there is no set of supporters that is more utterly blind to what history actually means outside of their own FERAL little bubble.
Its simply peer pressure, being part of that crowd and going along with it irrespective of whether they understand what they are doing it. I shake my head in disbelief and embarrasment when I think that I stupidly went along with the crowd on a few occasions, but then doing that as a 13,14 or 15 yr old is different from doing it when older and you actually have a bit of real world experience.I get, whilst not condoning, why scousers may boo the anthem. Up to them
But how many of the liverpool support yesterday were actual scousers? Would i be generous in saying 50%? Less?
Lets stick with 50%.
so half may have a genuine perceived grievance from 40+ years ago with the establishment.
the other half who have no actual geographical or family link to liverpool booed anyway.
Those same supporters will be in their locals in plymouth/wycombe/crewe/cambridge etc etc cheering on england in the world cup.
another bit of proof , if needed that liverpool fc is a cult and not a football club.
Utter bunch of weirdo’s.
It is all a media construct to shift copy / induce clicks. In reality, has the "Quad" ever actually been on? City have been in control of the league since Christmas and everyone else has been chasing. "Ours to win", of course but I would suggest it is more "yours to lose". Think it was just after the end of yesterdays game that I heard the first commentator actually use that line of reasoning rather than going for the glory quote. The best way to prevent the mass hysteria is by ignoring the hype. It’s not our job to stop Liverpool. City are the only team currently doing just that. The other teams need to stop rolling over. The quad is not happening anyway. Champions league is 50/50.
I think it has always been thus, the team that is at the top has more of a focus on their closest challenger.....and I think that is perhaps the best word, the fact that we are over the last couple of years "challenging" City (the champions), which obviously shows that you are the champions/best team and that we are challenging you for it.I don’t know why some people are trying to convince themselves that they’re not that good. We’re an exceptional team, and there’s barely been a cigarette paper between us in recent years. They’re extremely dislikable, but to pretend they’re not an outstanding side just seems a bit churlish. Stopping them winning the league (and probably the quadruple) would make this one of our most rewarding titles to date.
As you say, its a two way thing. City have been the benchmark for the last 10 years and so every other club has to aspire to those standards (and with the money available in the Premier league that should be easier with good recruitment (or access to a good database :-P )I get people saying that if we diminish and disrespect what the dippers have achieved, we also diminish our own achievements. There's no doubt that the challenge of livarpoo has forced us to raise our own game and not become complacent.
For their part, the dips are an extremely effective team, but comparing their football to ours is comparing McDonald's to a Michelin starred restaurant. Their midfield in particular exerts precious little control in their games, but their forwards do tend to bury their chances. Paradoxically this makes their games more exciting as there are more mistakes and potentially more excitement than our metronomic strangling of games.
Has it become a ‘professional scouser’ thing now tho? Booing anthems and not supporting england. Do everton fans do it ?Its simply peer pressure, being part of that crowd and going along with it irrespective of whether they understand what they are doing it. ...but contrary to you next comment, I am afraid that I would possibly get kneecapped if I cheered England on in my local
As someone said above re peer pressure - if you support liverpool you would go along with the scouse not english bile as to not do so would alienate you. I think like united their fanbase has changed over the years and most on a matchday at Anfield have no affiliation with the city.Has it become a ‘professional scouser’ thing now tho? Booing anthems and not supporting england. Do everton fans do it ?
Think you should fuck off.Think you should look into the reasons why we boo the National Anthem as you seem ill informed. I would say more but my posts do not seem to be getting past the mods even though they are all, as is this, extremely polite and respectful and just point out certain facts.
You don't have to be nice guy to be a brilliant manager. I have heard from a very solid source (and LFC season-ticket holder) that Klopp has been brutal and ruthless behind the scenes and when he first came in a lot of people disliked him at the club. His exact comment was: "Don't get taken in by all the smiles." But, like Bobby Manc with us, he has shaken the place to the rafters. Personally I think Klopp is right up there as one of the greatest managers, not least because of what he achieved at Dortmund.I’d probably love him if he was our manager. But he’s not, so I think he’s a dickhead. Glad Guardiola has a bit more decorum about him.
And then they cry when people call them thieving cunts
If you cannot click on to see, basically calebrating robbing krispy creme signs and shoplifting WHS smith and greggs at the services, wierdos

Tbf there was a mob of blues who stole an entire Krispy Kreme machine on the way to Wembley, saw video of them dragging it through the car park at the services
I can think of a few myself. You support a very good team but I can’t think of worse supporters in England. I can’t think of any set of supporters that put such a huge stain on the sport as you guys.
Not just yesterday, it's almost every game mate. If the media had done a full on "tactical fouling initiative" on him like they did with us in general and Fernandinho specifically, he'd get about 6 reds a season; but they know that it'd be greeted with their "we're being picked on again" mentality followed by that high pitched whining screeching that they all do.Still raging that Thiago got away with TWO out of control off the ground two-footed challenges yesterday.
Alright, maybe the ref was unsighted, but VAR???
Both straight Red's
Unexpected?
Oh do f*ck off!
Hillsborough excuses again.
I have no issue with anyone booing the anthem as it's shite and means fuck all in modern Britain, plus those celebrated have ransacked this country for centuries and took the piss out of the working class. Also I am a repuplican so would never sing it myself.thats the Hillsboro threat thrown down straight away……don’t dare criticise booing an anthem!

In my opinion all northern clubs shpuld boo it.
The authorities should have long since changed it for the UK and brought in to an English one for English occasions seperate to the union.
Booing Abide with me though was a load of bollocks though
