Just thought I’d post this for a bit of balance. A Liverpool fan who I’ve known through work since I started my first office job in 1989 - I started there just 12 days before the Hillsborough disaster - is one of the most magnanimous football fans I’ve ever met. And he’s a scouser who actually goes to their games rather than some plastic who can’t find Anfield even with the aid of a Sat Nav. He phoned me up to congratulate me just minutes after we won the league at Brighton in 2019 and yesterday he wished us luck ahead of last night’s match. Me and my boss - a United fan - are always saying he’s not bitter enough to be a football fan!
Most of the actual Liverpudlian Liverpool fans I've ran into over the years have been similar.

The vast majority of the bitter bullshit spoken is by online kfa's.

United supporting mates of mine, apart from the normal banter, accept our current superiority as well.

That must be a rarity. A fair-minded dipper fan.

I have many friends who are non-City fans and they are ok with giving us credit. They'll phone, text, or email me saying how fantastic we are, what an incredible coach Pep is, what brilliant players we have etc. But I've never received a congratulatory message from the few dippers and rags within my social circle. Not one.

Nail on head with 'football fan'....a fella on here once said he avoids convo's with non match goers as they are so partisan. Those who make an effort to travel and watch, win or lose..have a much more honest and genuine perspective regardless of the team they follow.

I'd not want one & they'd certainly get fuck all from me if the boot was on the other foot.

As many of you know I am married into a multi generational family of Liverpool fans and every one of them are fair and balanced it does make a difference if they have scouse origins (they do) it's place like RAWK which is filled with needy people who couldn't find Liverpool on a map

I am absolutely loving the fact that City have done what lfc just could not. RM battered our players, brojken bones, dirty dirty tactics, and City instead of crying about it have just carried on. No vigils for Karius' heads or Salahs arm, no hate campaigns against Ramos, we've just battered RM with football. And Liverpool cdould never do that because they're so steeped in victimhood.

City showed them how its done last night. Lfc might have won more CL's but its our time now.

lfc really are out on their own when it comes to being shithouse scum online, they use Hillsborough as an excuse to be horrible to others and try to bring it up without provocation sure the victims families really appreciate it.
read some absolute tosser on the cult site Squawk saying that Dukinfield Blue on BM had obviously chosen his username to rile the scousers by referencing David Dukenfield.

Likewise, one of my best mates from university is a big Liverpool fan and he texted me last night to congratulate us on the win. It's daft to tar an entire fanbase with a single brush. As with any club, there are decent fans and also idiots.

Thank God they don't care about us...

I've just found out that Clive Myrie is an Abu Dhabi fan. That's Mastermind off the viewing schedule then.

...and some fanbases have more idiots than others... mainly the ones who've accumulated support for no reason other than their success.
