Ain’t full backs supposed to be good defenders :) sorry but ratboy can go on about him but if he can’t do the basics at his age then I doubt he will ever get it right............ teams will target his side for fun so expect more errors over the next few weeks
Any sane coach would play him on the wing and sign a proper right back. But they’re doubling diwn now which is glorious

The BBC reporting on the stampede that killed 174 people at a football match in Indonesia.

The stampede is one of the worst of a tragically long line of stadium disasters.

In 1964, a total of 320 people were killed and more than 1,000 injured during a stampede at a Peru-Argentina Olympic qualifier in Lima.

In 1985, 39 people died and 600 were hurt at the Heysel stadium in Brussels, Belgium, when fans were crushed against a wall that then collapsed during the European Cup final between Liverpool (England) and Juventus (Italy).

In the UK, a crush developed at the Hillsborough stadium in Sheffield, resulting in the deaths of 97 Liverpool fans attending the club's FA Cup semi-final against Nottingham Forest.

@jrb 66 people died at Ibrox, when Rangers played Celtic in 1971. If ever there was a disaster that should have made the authorities change football grounds this was the one and yet it never gets mentioned.

Of course his manager is going to come out and defend him but you would imagine he’s going to get to a point where he keeps making that many errors that he’s going to suffer the same fate as Harry Maguire and just get dropped.

I never really understood why he’s never been given a proper run in a position a bit further up the pitch, considering his only qualities are actually passing the ball, it seems pretty obvious that it’s worth trying because he’s just a liability in defence. But my suspicions are that he’s not quite technically good enough to be a creative player and not quite defensively good enough to be a defender. In limbo.

Still I hope they are stubborn and stick with him because teams will always fancy their chances and feel confident with him at the back for them.

You can’t play him in midfield. Liverpool going forward for the past few years have had the opposition camped on the edge of their box. It’s given Terrence a ton of time to use his one outstanding ability of passing. He’s proving now that under pressure he’s a fucking liability, so if you were to play him further forward he’d be under constant opposition pressure.

Foden ripped him apart in the covid season, tormented him infact, it’s now just becoming more obvious to the rest of the league as the dippers are vulnerable and not dominating games, where as once upon a time Terrence had the freedom of Klanfield.

Yeah that’s probably right

That’s why I said I think he’s kind of in limbo in the fact he’s not really good enough to play in either position consistently well and it’s getting found out, but is manager of sticking with him anyway. To get the very best out of him in terms of what he’s good at, you would have to compromise the team and really accommodate him and his shortcomings ….and he’s not nearly good enough to even consider doing that with.

It’ll be interesting to see where he is in a few seasons time when they can’t pass off his liabilities as him being young (he’s already 24 this week)

It’s like I’ve always said about Adama Traoré, he is not quite fast enough to be an Olympic sprinter but not quite good enough a footballer to be consistent top footballer.

This numbskull on RAWK just complaining how we are better than they are by complaining just how much better than them we are. Then he goes further explaining how much Liverpool brilliance even though they have only achieved what Leicester achieved whilst City have won the league and not failed like they have.

Another take

However, take Howard Kendall's Everton out of the mid 80's, and the Red Scouse Gambling Syndicate would’ve won 7 in a row

It may have been slightly different margins if Everton had not been so brilliant and denied the opportunity to play in the European Cup. However, it just proves that Kendall and Everton's brilliance somewhat masked what the despot gambling syndicate had done to the league. They had all but killed the competitiveness of the game
.

Since the 72/73 season, Liverpool won the league 11 times in 18 seasons finishing runners up on 6 occasions. Winning 8 domestic cups, 4 European Cups, and 2 UEFA cups during that time. That's 24 meaningful trophies in 18 seasons.

It was due to that dominance, that the majority of Liverpool fans 'support' them in the first place.

Remember the Keeper is there to save shots not play out narrative yet a defender is not there to defend.

More mental gymnastics.

You should read some of the other posts. Really unstable, delusional and angry fans.

If Pep had Liverpool’s squad and we had another high level manager. Say Zidane was our manager and those rats had Pep, they’d have won the league 3/4 times.

Pep is the deference. They can’t face that, as it means they would have to shine a light on their delusions…
Haha, spot on. They claim they have the best manager in the world. They got him a year before Pep came to us. Did they try to get Pep ahead of Klopp, only to be told her wasn't available? Or was Klopp their first choice? It doesn't really matter.

During Klopp's tenure they have consistently told us they have the best full backs in the league (and up there as best in the world). They have the best CB in Van Dyke. They have had the best strikers in Salah, Mane, Firminho with quality later additions Diaz, Jota and now Nunez. One of the best defensive midfielders in Fabinho, and the undisputed best goalkeeper in the world. Thiago is everything David Silva wished he could have been.

They acknowledge KDB as being perhaps worthy of greatness, but other than him, maybe only one of our CBs would get in a joint LFC/City eleven.

So with all their greatness, why have they ended up with just one PL, one CL, and a couple of domestic cups? Explain that to us RAWK!

Either their players aren't all best in show in all their respective positions, or their manager is underachieving. They can't have it both ways.
