A penalty was given for that? Unbelievable!
You would think with the way the tramps have been disrespecting refs over the past month that they would not be getting decisions in their favour but the opposite seems to apply. Absolutely ludicrous that this was given.
Add to the 2 major wrong decisions in their favour v Spurs ( non penalty and sending off) so thats 3 huge errors by officials and Var in just 2 games going their way

Why did that defender allow the ball to continue rolling toward him and only decided to act at the last moment, why did he not attempt to clear it? He's actually moving away from the ball.

What am I not seeing?

However, still should not be a penalty.
Because he's a clown. But yes, that doesn't make it a penalty.

Have to say it, from seeing that clip from that angle that it is a truly awful decision. Considering it must have been reviewed by VAR from many different angles I can only assume that there has to be another view that shows some contact. On the basis of that clip there was no contact and it was clearly a dive/simulation (call it what you want)
That made me think...I thought, unless it was done away with, wasn't there meant to be some means of review/retrospective action against "simulation"?
It's terrible as I am feeding into the whole conspiracy theory trend on here which I totally disagree with...but just think some officials are just shit.

Players cheating and officials not clamping down is ruining the game, certain clubs (the majority wear red) are far more active than others in this department.

Still not seen that back at the game looked nailed on
I’ll see if I can make a gif of the replay of the Haaland challenge in a bit.

It was a clear foul. Just because a defender eventually gets some of the ball doesn’t mean they can go straight through the opposition player to do it.

It was.

The West Ham lad touched the ball but only having gone through/scissored Erling.......he took him out.and it was a clear and obvious mistake from the ref (who didnt have a bad game otherwise)

Here we are.

I still have no idea how someone can argue this isn’t a penalty.

Kehrer is only able to faintly touch the ball (on his second try) because he’s kicked Haaland’s foot out of the way (on his first try), and took out Haaland’s other leg to make sure he’s not getting back to it.

Joke of a decision. As you say we won so it's brushed aside but one day we won't and shit calls like this will cost us. They need to be made accountable and explain why that's not a penalty.

"At least VAR has stopped Liverpool players diving for penalties."

And *poof* there goes the final justification for VAR up in smoke.
