Just caught the back end of a report on the BBC about offensive chanting which to be fair did mention Liverpool fans using the Munich chants but I didn't catch what was alleged about chanting aimed at Liverpool, presumably it was Hillsborough related but wondering if this was accurate. Yes it was Hillsborough related (isnt it always....??)

It was mainly focused on the 'always the victim' chant.

To isolate and associate that solely with the above is wildly inaccurate.

It was about a campaign being led by Liverpool fans to have clubs docked points if they sing offensive songs. Mainly about Hillsborough.

Ha! I would think I'm not the target audience (especially being an ex pat / recent immigrant to the States.)
Only assuming but my guess is the age is much lower than my near 60 years. Late teens to 30 having recently got into the game. The social media generation..... sitting at home watching the game doesn't keep their attention span but firing off messages and listening to Goldbridge, The Flying Pig or Alice keeps their ADHD in check

If it's the same one, they also mentioned Liverpool fans singing Munich songs.

I'm not happy about this whole idea of penalising clubs if their fans sing offensive songs. One, how will it be enforced? Two, players shouldn't be punished just because some of their fans are dickheads and three, you just know Liverpool fans will abuse it and claim 'X was singing about Hillsborough' when they lose.
