We are looking better than last season which is good enough at this point.

Nobody other than Manchester City is flying out of the gates--Leicester too will fill they have done well.
Granted but you should have buried Arsenal last night they were there for the taking in the first half then agin the same with them in the 2nd, up to now City have been the only impressive team

Rodgers is picking a squad of reserves/bit part players for the Europa league, according to the Echo during the summer,i hope it's true and we should concentrate on getting a top 4 place and playing one game a week like 2013-2014 and have a good go in the domestic cup competitions.
Would be funny if they did that and then England lost its 4th Champions League space because teams weren't taking the Europa League seriously enough.

Brenda has to get top four this year and imo it will be a fight against lvg...the loser getting sacked

that said with the money turtle has spent he should be going for the title....but lets be realistic lol

Laughing listening to 5 Live before the game last night when they played a clip of Bodger saying "With Arsenal you can't dominate the ball so you have to dominate the space." Steve Claridge then said "Brendan does have a propensity to use fifty words when one would do. I think he means they have to defend better."

They did well last night and stuck to their task when Arsenal moved up a gear in the second half but it would have been interesting to hear Bodger's reaction if a team had parked the bus against them at Anfield.

I was concerned about this during the off-season.

Anyway, I'd like to see Markovic given a chance too. Neither should be automatic first choice though.

It was a shame that Firmino was taken off for Ibe as that's when you lost a lot of impetus/quality going forward.

He's obviously highly rated but he couldn't trap a bag of sand last night.

I thought by dominate the space he meant hoof it up to Benteke. Still do.

This is on the BBC report after the Arsenal drawn game.

"Liverpool's tough set of fixtures early on in the season could have piled immediate pressure on Brendan Rodgers after a drab 2014-15 season. So far he is swimming, not sinking."

Tough set of fixtures? Not the toughest by a long way.

I would say he isn't swimming, more being rescued by lifeguards (refs and officials)
