The pair of them are schooled in the Johnson Way - speak only about what you want to - say anything you want to say, claim anything you want to claim and never admit to a lie.

The problem is neither have the charm and bravado that Johnson had to get himself elected at the outset - the inability to reign in the extent of lies and the subsequent inability to admit he was wrong on occasion that finally did for him

She's absolutely terrible. Totally skewered by Burley on the pay cuts for public workers issue. It was a clear demonstration that bare faced lying comes naturally to her, and even in the face of overwhelming evidence that she's bullshitting she continues to brazen it out and blame everyone else.

Compared to her Sunak seems almost credible and he's appalling as well.

It’s one thing to admit that you are not a slick performer, fair enough, but if that is the case, then you’d better make sure you are on the ball in terms of policy and detail. Alas, Truss is showing that all she can do is trot out a series of meaningless sound bites that don’t stand up to any scrutiny. There are 9 ‘public’ hustings left this month so plenty time for her to squander her lead.
 
this is just gentle sparring - I predict her 1st PMQ's will end with her having to have the speaker step in and stop the fight
