Don’t know much about this lad. Thought he caught the eye last season at home v WHU. Purposely watched the match today and he looked very good to be fair. He wasn’t what I thought he was and played deeper than I expected. He was definitely tidy and looks like he would fit in well.

I think his versatility is important. He could quite easily cover for Rodri (he's played that position for Brazil), but will play most of his football in the Gundogan role, I'd imagine.

Why don’t they try to improve their own team and not sell their best players every season?

As for not selling their best players. I think it's very evident they didn't want to lose Rice but it was essentially out of their hands and they seem fairly keen on keeping what is probably their best player too but are accepting that isn't always possible.

Who gives a fuck what west ham want? Rice has been threatening to go for years. They have no ambition but to survive. The player didn’t want to go to them to begin with. Now the line is everyone has a price. It’s all load of shit. Not like we are after a world beater here.
